Is Master Yi broken?

So is Master Yi meant to be a DPS champ or an Assassin? Because I just played a game where he displayed he can easily do both. He wasn't crazy fed, he has Wits, Rage, and Bloodrazor.

Here I was trying to defend and he killed me in 1.78 seconds, without procing Conq.

In this clip we're literally trying everything we can to stop Yi but once he procs Conq its actually game over.

Im just curious where Yi is meant to sit and why he is capable of what he's capable of. Considering how brain dead easy he is to use, combined with the fact the can take agro off himself by spamming Q, other than ridiculous CC how are you meant to deal with this?

Wits end is literally broken on him. You could however argue that the guys in the penta clip played it terrible.

Yes, imo he is overperforming for how dead easy he is to play.

It's just that some champions can't outdps him in any point of the game. His level 2 is just ridiculously strong and it gets worse from there.

The only arguement for this champ is that you cc him he's dead. But..... His w gives amazing damage reduction + healing for when he gets cced by grounding abilities.(aka not stun or supression)

Literally he can tank a full late game lux combo by clicking w while rooted

I think it's all too much.

Oh you didnt know? Master Yi is designed around winning the game at X time period. nothing more nothing less. Think vayne but higher dps tank stats move speed and less counterplay for anything OTHER than hard cc. Once a certain time period is reach master yi transitions from squishy mobile darius, to mobile mundo. Overall he is a right clicker that has 5x scalings so he is a mobile melee adc, and its the WIts end and Guinsoos that give him mid game power, and his tanky melee stats that give him tanky power. The conquerer lifesteal, the melee champion base stats, the unslowable ultimate, the 4 steroids in his kit, and the cost efficiency of on hit items and the lack of cost efficiency in STACKING tank items due to % pen result in what you see here. Yi is a champion that has to be 1 shot nothing more nothing less.

He had two, possibly 3 items, and started the fight by using red smite on you (which enhances his basic attacks on you), while the Aatrox (not sure if you meant that you were him) had zero armor while very behind in comparison,

Honestly, I think you just didn't notice how far ahead he got compared to everyone else. A Yi that's ahead of an entire team is a worst case scenario. Didn't help that the Aatrox only had one finished item and no armor.

Yi is definitly broken. Rito games reward playing low IQ champions with much DMG, but hate ppl who play Ekko. GJ Rito games.

Master Ti IS way too Over Powered. In 1 game he did 2 Ace and realized a pentakill 3 Times. All of our team rage quit the game

I just played a game which shows how OP he is, their Yi was the whole team. We had a whole good team with CC and the Yi still single handily won. He needs to be nerfed to the ground.

Sure, he buys QSS for malz ult, Q dodges morg Q (or just runs backwards faster than the projectile [only a minor exaggeration]), shreds the Rammus when taunted, and ignores any slows the rest of the team gets off...

...But just CC him :)

Every single yi teammate i had always got completely destroyed by Jax ‘s e. it block all basic attacks for quite a while and stuns at the end that spells trouble for master yi. If the master yi is competent though and uses alpha strike right yeah he is quite a headache.

There is one solution for that .. If RIOT set YI cost 7200 Blue Essence and it would be good to NERF HIM + to make Master yi playing restriction for players above lvl 30 .. What do you think? Azir

I do not mind his dmg, what bothers me is his resilience his meditate mitigates far too much.

The thing is, if you got a "DPS champion", a champion capable of consistent damage and they itemize to do the highest "Damage Per Second" that they can, and you give them a stacks of gold and they use that gold to buy a bunch of damage, they are going to do a lot of damage.

And well, in the first clip we've got Yi with a large item advantage, prepping passive and Rageblade, with Red Buff, using ult, and using a summoner, against you with no armor when he has an armor pen item. By the time the second clip comes around, while you have traded your refill for a pickaxe, Yi has gotten another complete item.

That's the answer to "So is Master Yi meant to be a DPS champ or an Assassin?" and in conclusion... Rageblade is a stupid item?

Yi was fed like I don't even have to see the stats of the game to know that in the penta he was level 14 and the highest on your team was Aatrox at 13 that may not sound like a big deal but this you realize he is jg and actually under the level of Aatrox.

Like you know who can do the same thing a fed tryn, a fed jax, a fed wukong, basically any champion that can burst when there fed.

Also don't act like you need ridiculous cc if nami hit q or Aatrox hit his q twice he would of died it only takes a one hard cc to kill him and no one was building armor like tornmail is great vs him.
