Their gameplay is pretty unique but they don't get much love with itemization.
I really hope Riot expands this class they aren't unga bunga right clickers (which isn't necessarily a bad thing but doesn't allow for much counterplay/thinking)

Maybe Riot can introduce an AP version of 
that passive would be useful on AP Bruisers.
A lot of their itemization could be locked behind a melee requirement so that ranged mages can't abuse them

Yi, sure. Jax and Trynd no. But those aren't all skill shot champs, and those aren't all autoattack based champs. There are exceptions, but overall, autoattacking is harder than casting spells.
