How much mobility does he have compared to other champions both in general, and against other supports. What does he pay for this mobility? As a player who likes support, I like the guy, but how will he be balanced where I can still pick a champion like Soraka? He can heal without health costs.

Shahamut1 votesThat is pretty much it. His damage dealing abilities are his pik man passive and his Q. Depending on mana costs and cooldowns, its likely the bigger part of his balance.
Of course, as a support, that is just fine, since his Q has slow or stun on it. overall though, he is going to be a much less aggressive support in comparison to a lot of other supports like Leona or Annie :P

He is also forced to roam and seems to be bad against aggression, but his abilities alone will make up for that.

He offers the portal to enemies as well. It isn't a get out of fail free card, you can use it strategically (bait an enemy into your team) and the enemy can also use it against you.
