Dodgers should lose IP and maybe even RP

And they should absolutely go negative if they keep dodging. More needs to be done about the roughly 15% success rate of the new champ select. Maybe losing a few thousand IP each time or ending up with a negative RP total that they have to pay off before they can buy anything else with RP might make staying in seem like a better choice.

Ive dodged more recently because i forgot to lock in. Maybe before taking things from people riot shouldn't make a queue system where you can have a champ selected but forget to lock in and then "dodge" the que

and don't tell me it isn't a problem, its happened multiple times to me and my friends and honestly it accounts for 95% of my "queue" dodging over the corse of a season.

TL;DR sh!t idea deserves a sh!t long wall of text. Otherwise, gr8 b8 m8, i r8 5/7

Here's a scenario for you to consider, you queued up for ranked and it's only been 2mins. In champ selection lobby, you're given the honorary role of support and you're the absolute last pick. Your jungle wants Teemo , your mid wants Jhin, top is undecided and your buddy adc wants Ahri. No big deal, they're just hovering over their champs, it's not locked in. Few minutes passed, they all locked in what they wanted and top ends up picking Blitzcrank. It's ranked, you're not in your promos atm so you can dodge. Whatever you decide, it's against a Malphite Yasuo Fizz Thresh Kalista Regardless of whether or not you dodge, next game! You're thrown into your favorite role (whatever it is). Your entire team hovers over Teemo or Jhin and you're not banning since you're 2nd pick overall (meaning enemy gets the absolute 1st pick then you). Your team bans are Bard Hecarim and Taric while the enemies banned Poppy DrMundo and Kindred . No big deal! You pick your champion for you role and few mins pass by. You have your champ in your role, but you also have Annie Galio XinZhao Udyr while the enemies are Vayne Soraka Renekton Graves Jhin . Again, you can either play or dodge.

But lets go back a bit, if you dodged the 1st game, you're going to be hit with a penalty again if you dodge and that's what, 15-30min wait time now? But if you play, that's a highly probable loss. Assume you played both games, you lost both because DC's and feeders are only on your team in ranked. You're now at 0LP in bronze 4 (I looked at your ranked, but didnt care enough for your LP). You're now at the gateway to the paradise know as Bronze 5 because you and your team did not dodge. If you had dodged those 2 games, you'd be smacked with a long wait time before you could queue up for any game, but your MMR has not been negatively impacted by two unnecessary losses.

Now lets assume your silly little idea has been implemented and you dodged both games, you lost 500 IP and 50 RP for the 1st dodge and then 1000 IP and 100 RP for the 2nd dodge. Not only were you heavily kicked in the groin for trying to keep your Bronze MMR safe, you also lost whatever RP you bought, if any, and 1500 IP. To top that off, you're also given a really long wait time before you're allowed to queue up again, which doesn't help the missing IP and RP in any way or form.

Now let me ask you, assuming your silly idea was implemented and you dodged both games, would you dodge again if you ran into a 4-man premade in ranked and they all hovered over Teemo, banned Ashe Caitlyn Ezreal and locked in a champ for your role and even took your role as well as Braum Leona Janna even though you get overall 3rd pick (aka 2nd pick of your team and enemies get 1st pick)? If you dodge, it's now a 1-hour (60 minutes) wait time before queuing up for a game, a heft 2000 IP and 200 RP loss, BUT you keep your MMR safe.

Uhhh no, hell no.

You already lose LP for dodging.

What happens if I have 0 IP and 0 RP? Do I have to write a check to Rito?

Okay, you guys got me. If they actually did that (obviously there's no way they ever actually would) I'd be like "Damn... that's harsh..." But, what would it take to get people to just play the game they queued up for, knowing full well their favorite champion might get banned, other players might make choices they don't agree with, or they might have to face a champion that scares them? (Or, in the case of all the ARAM dodgers, knowing what the R stands for.) It happens so often (as in, it's a miracle when the game actually starts after the 5th or 6th try) it's hard to believe it's typically due to unfortunate, uncontrollable circumstances or getting trapped in a clearly unwinnable scenario. Especially in normals when LP isn't at risk anyway.
