Does Morde's passive do more damage than Karthus's E?

I've been having trouble trading with him because of his passive. I can usually dodge or bait his grab, but if I'm picking/"counterpicked" melee into him I usually have a tough time because of it. It seems like it does a ton of damage. So for the same duration does karthus do more?

I'm just trying to figure out if the damage is super high, karthus's is pretty high but it isn't going to annilate you so if its on par or lower than his I'm probably approaching this wrong

Yep, as Karthus you're going to have to either kite him or stay away from him.

Morde's passive does a large amount of flat damage, plus % based on enemy max health, plus it gives him a speed boost. So once a morde has rylai's (which they should rush) if you get into melee range, you die. Period, doesn't even really matter what champ you have unless you have a good escape, he will hunt and kill you. He is super busted right now, should be banned every game unless your first pick wants him
