Poachers Knife Balance Issue

As we know, Poachers Knife gives a small buff, some gold, and a CD reduction on Smite when you smite and then kill a large monster in the enemy jungle, and this part worked as expected.

When it comes to Baron and Dragon however, it gets sort of complicated.

For an example, I was Red Side Jungle Sion. My team went for dragon, and I smote and killed it. I proceeded to get all of the benefits of Poachers Knife. Later in that game, my team went for Baron, which I also smote and killed. However, this time I did not get the poachers knife buff. I imagine something similar would happen if I was blue side, getting the buff for Baron, but not Dragon.

I know that Baron and Dragons don't happen very often, but game changing plays happen at those places. That makes this a kind of important deal. It also means that red side jungler can smite steal dragon and get away easier than they Baron.

I don't know how the buff applies to the Scuttlecrabs.

TLDR: Please make the Poachers Knife buff apply consistently to Baron and Dragon as they are neutral camps that don't really belong to a team.

A Rioter's response on if this will be looked at would be much appreciated. If it is not getting looked at, I would be interested in hearing the reasoning behind it.

Pouchers might become better.

There's a tooltip update on the PBE saying that smite now has stacks (2).

If you can store a charge and use it 2twice in a row it might actually work wonders for counterjungleing.

That's great and all, but that has nothing to do with what this post is about:

That poachers knife doesn't consistently apply to baron and dragon.

This.... well damn, I totally didn't think of this. How is "the enemy side of the jungle" determined?

I think if its closer to their nexus than yours, its on the enemy side of the map. Don't quote me on that as I don't know how it applies to scuttlecrabs.

I really believe that is a balance issue that needs to be addressed, if not fixed.
