Rengar needs to not be allowed to take Thunderlords.
It made literally everyone able to play him with ease.

sorry to say this but chances are that you would have died regardless of whether Rengar had Thunderlords or not
If thunderlords only applied when abilities dealt damage, rather than allowing autoattacks to proc it, it would be much more balanced.
I think it is actually Precision that is crazy on rengar rather than thunderlords. I run an armorpen runepage on him combined with Precision i have 29 flat pen at level one, when I go for early fights, most people only have maybe 5 effective armor left, and since Rengar has an AD steroid, he just SHREDS people with this
thunderlords is strong as a whole. the game breaking part is that multiple procs from diffrent people can easily delete a champion even if they started to building defense either armor or mr it wouldnt be enough cause thrunderlords has massive ad scaleing as magic damage
