I dont see the point of playing normals to prepare for ranked with mismatches this bad.
Silvers vs Diamonds and Plats that just 100-0 you in seconds. Yeah that's gonna prepare them to play against other silver players in ranked. What's the point of even playing normals when you are either playing against people way beyond your skill level or playing against people nowhere close to your own? That doesn't prepare you for shit. I just had to watch a silver 2 lane against a plat 3 and it was just a straight slaughter. I didnt even care that he was 1/8 because wtf is he supposed to do in that matchup other than lose? What's to learn when all you do is run away and die almost instantly once you get caught? How does matchmaking consider that fair?
All you learn from that matchup is how to lose to someone you shouldn't ever be matched against. You could play 10 normal games and have every experience be pointless because of the huge mismatches. I could go into ranked with a champion i've lost every normal on and probably do well because i'm facing off against players who aren't ridiculously better than me yet my Winrate on that champion is like 20%. I have experienced this bullshit too many times because I did that shit before back in S4. It got to the point where I wouldn't even bother practicing champions in normals because when i'm facing high plats and diamonds who would just stomp me what's the point of trying to learn in those games when in ranked i'm facing golds?
I'm sure it sucks for the opposite end of the spectrum too. If you are diamond and your normals consist of plats and lower how does that help you prepare to face other diamond players?
