Who counters rumble?

There's the obvious Swain and the free week rumbles that get level 2 cheesed by Riven mains) , but aside from that I've literally never seen a rumble main lose lane

So, who can deny him farm easily and beat him? Just curious

Interesting - I've played against a Rumble as Teemo and he absolutely wrecked me, he could disengage / shield ... he isn't AA dependent so Blind isn't super useful. His Ult is designed to burn down squishies which Teemo is... could you provide some context to this suggestion / link some matches where you succeeded?

Based only on match up win rate, Galio is the best pick.

Karthus right? Isn't the answer always supposed to be Karthus?

Everyone beats Rumble. He truly is a garbage champ who has no dueling potential or poke at all. And his teamfight honestly isn't that great. I can list 10 other champs with better AOE.

All-in champs that trade in bursts (Riven, Ekko, Fizz, Wukong, Diana) and champions with decent poke (Jayce, Pantheon, Nidalee) tend to do match up fairly well against Rumble. He's squishy enough early that a lane bully like Darius or Yorick could give him a hard game, too. Basically, if you stay relatively clear of flamespitter and his DoT, he presents a fairly low threat to you until his lv6 comes up.

An early hexdrinker can really mess him up too, should the situation permit. That's just my opinion, though... I stopped playing top at the beginning of the season. I could be totally wrong.

Has anyone played Vlad into him a few times? It seems like he might be a decent counter pick, but I wouldn't know.

As a former Rumble main, the hardest top lanes I dealt with were Swain and Renekton. But at Bronze level, it's not like I'm finding a whole lot of people who can fight even a half-decent Rumble. I would imagine any bruiser/tank with built-in sustain or shielding would be a tad problematic, depending on skill level.
