Gnar Clarity Feedback @Champ Design

Gnar is pretty cool! But from a gameplay standpoint the little dude has issues.

First issue, his boomerang. This is the number one clarity nightmare skill. It starts as a single target directional skillshot, then morphs briefly into a skillshot that doesn't harm anything it all as it travels a short distance past the original hit, then as it returns it hits everything in its AOE.

Its visuals do nothing to convey what this attack is going to do. It needs to look more like this.

Part one: Gnar throws the boomerang overhand. Set the edge at a ninety degree angle to the viewer to make it clear that it is on a thin hotbox at this point and will only strike a single target.

Part two ( conditional): if the boomerang strikes a target, it bounces past them, wobbling in the air. This is the period in which the boomerang is harmless and hasn't begun the return strike.

Part three: the boomerang flips to its present visual, clearly conveying the AOE as it returns.

Second issue: his hyper stacks are extremely hard to see , especially in a group of enemies. I recommend a change in visuals to make the first ring orange and the second red so both Gnar and his opponent knows when they're double marked. Also, when Gnar is nearing mega form his rage puts a red wash on the screen which makes hyper stacks even harder to see. This is annoying.

Third issue: does double jumping into a crunch apply the crunch AOE for both hops? It appears to.

Fourth issue: wallop is very bad at conveying its effect. There is almost no visual indicator of what happens besides the AOE indicator pre-wallop. The same issue remains with GNAR in that there's no particles to indicate why these things mega Gnar is doing effect a whole AOE. Some kind of tremor effect should be added. If Cho'gath's Q just showed the indicator, then popped up enemy champs, it would be a very confusing ability.

I hope that some of these issues can be looked at soon. Gnars model is visually excellent, but his particles look like a champ in early beta, and it simply looks like some of his particles are missing entirely.
