Do explain me how this makes sense?

No, this is not a comlain but just a question regarding an ingame mechanic with AA.

I have come to notice that there are some...how do i say...eyebrow raising Things.

AA as we all know can be canceled by CC, however what also happens a lot which people only realise after seeing it is that an AA doesn't cancel itself when your target gets thrown out of range by a knockback or a flash. So i want to know why this is legit? it becomes a lot more visible when you do it with empowered AA like a Nasus Q or an illaoi W.

So why can't i hit someone if im stunned, but i can hit them if they flash out? sure, this is a game, and we don't wanna be 100% realistic, we couldn't even if we wanted to but doesn't this one seem a bit...fishy?

Because once the animation starts, it is unmissable for most part.

It is a targeted attack. It is treated the same as a targeted spell. Same reason you can't Flash out of Darius ultimate or Garen ultimate or whatever.
