According to the community, if I Queue jungle I can steal mid right?

Mira Arya Enthe··19 votes·1,440 views

According to this community, if I queue as jungle it is okay for me to go in mid lane and steal my mid laner's farm and exp, completely abandoning jungle and not taking smite. Which is stupid, that has nothing to do with meta or builds, it has to do with taking somebody else's role. If I got in your game as jungle and suddenly told you "Nope, my dual mid laner strategy is the bomb, here is how it works..." And then forced myself in mid lane with you. I'd expect to be ban within 10-15 games of doing that.

Yet apparently it is okay when it is queueing for support, one of the most important roles on any LoL team. To then go steal your jungler's farm, abandon your assigned lane and let many players experience go down the toilet. That is okay.

Yet another example of a hypocritical community who would flip their shit if somebody in their game bought a single off meta item, yet defends somebody who literally steals other people's roles and abandons their own.

This thread is EXACTLY why role selection has been bad for the game...

Look at how entitled you are now over "YOUR" role...

It's not yours...

The team has a responsibility to each other to work together in the best interest of the team. This requires communication (something folks have stopped doing because of role selection) and teamwork. Whatever the team comes up with as a gameplan is what the gameplan is, regardless of what roles or job functions are USUALLY in a game.

Stop using role selection as an excuse to ignore properly communicating with your team and working as a team.

You're posts are usually a lot more sensible than this Mira, I'm not often disappointed in you the way I am right now.

Please don't encourage players to sabotage teams, that is not cool.

Role selection is the system by which we play, if people do not like it there is blind pick. But there is a reason players avoid that cancer. If what that Nunu does is okay then there are no limits, as long as we 'inform' our team what we will be doing we can just do anything we like and it is fine.

Role selection was implemented and I have been happier since. Before it I only played Team builder, before that I took a break because blind pick and pick order were cancer. As the implemented system it is Riot's job to enforce it or it has no meaning.

This reply is exactly why circlejerks are bad for the game. Look at how entitled you are now over "your" game and what Riot does with it.

It's not yours...

You have a responsibility to play the game within the rules of the company who created it, like any other game. This requires a level of respect for the system. And following warnings given to you based on your actions.

Stop using "niche pick" as an excuse to ignore the role selection process that was implemented into this game because draft pick was giving people cancer.

Please don't encourage more players to make heroes out of toxic jerks, while looking for any excuse to badmouth Riot. That is not cool.

That was a good chuckle.

Thanks for the laugh, glad to see you didn't take it too hard.

Implying you don't thrive on circlejerks yourself.

Circlejerks are bad for everything tho. Mob mentality reduces individuality, which is where innovation often stems from...Something that Riot is stifling by empowering specific player-driven circlejerks that are all about self over team.

toxic jerks

Yeah, sure he was flaming and causing his team to lose. Got us there. :^)

then it's completely valid for me to report my ADC if they pick someone I don't like, since they're forcing me into an uncomfortable experience without my permission. where does the slope start to get slippery i wonder

i hope Nunu goes right back to doing what he did before

Mira Arya Enthe9 votes

Is your bottom laner playing in bottom lane? yes? Then it is totally different than Nunu who Queued as support and played Jungle.

Big Lincoln5 votes

it doesn't matter; they're forcing me to change my playstyle around them

I should be allowed to report them since they're creating a frustrating experience

Mira Arya Enthe7 votes

^This is exactly why I am glad Riot manages the game and not the community. Thankfully they do enforce the role selection system and don't listen to stuff like this which has a huge logical disconnect between Not playing assigned role and not playing a champion you like. Because there is a huge difference. Yeesh.

Big Lincoln6 votes

Objective control seems like what a good support would be doing, I think I'll start playing smite supports too from now on

Who are you to tell someone how to support?

Mira Arya Enthe5 votes

I am not, Riot is. Because next we would have junglers just sitting in top taking your farm and calling it their 'genius strategy'. And not taking smite.

If the team wants to double top lane that's up to the team to decide to do. You don't get to tell everyone else how to play.

If the team wants to do something silly that's up to the team to choose to do or not.

I mean this happens in bronze games all the time. Are you saying we should ban those players? That seems more than a tad unfair.

Mira Arya Enthe5 votes

If the team agrees it is recorded in chat logs. The problem is Nunu, just like the Singed, was doing it when teams did not want somebody to pick the support role but then not play it. So it has nothing to do with team communication, it has to do with selfishness.

So you're saying it's SELFISH of a player to play the thing he's best at that gives the team the best possible chance to win?

Come now Mira...

No one is that dense.

That is literally the opposite of selfishness.

Zane Zephyr5 votes

The thing is, there's absolutely NO possible way to determine that it "gives them the best possible chance to win"

Just because he's good at it doesn't really account for anything given the fact that there are also 9 other players that affect the outcome of the game.

Considering he has a 0% win rate supporting as any other pick...

I'd say it's a pretty obviously "increased chance" as other wise it would be a guaranteed loss.

Surr20plz8 votes

OP is an idiot.

Nunu guy mostly counter jgs ENEMY camps.

What you described in OP is not relevant at all.

Logic fail.

Analogy fail.

My Sea Cow5 votes

So according to this one video of the Nunu jungle with smite, he took the first red when the Lee Sin (the jungler) took the enemy red (it was WITH PERMISSION from Lee Sin mind you...and after that he didn't take the next ALLY camp until 14:50.

Playing devils advocate here but how is that stealing someone's role? The only thing he took between first red buff spawn and 14:50 was scuttles and the ENEMY camps which is doing nothing but preventing the enemy jungle from farming.

He isn't stealing a role, he isn't stealing the jungler's camps, he's stealing the enemy's jungle camps. Huge difference from you going duo mid and taking farm and exp.

And it comes down to, is the team okay with it? If everyone agrees, then what's wrong with 2 going mid or 2 top or the support taking smite and doing what the Nunu or the Singed did? But yes, if people said no and he forced it on them, then no he shouldn't have done it

Mira Arya Enthe9 votes

Showing an example video of it going well, doesn't account for all the teams he forced into it. He never asked teams if it was okay, he did it regardless every single game.

My Sea Cow1 votes

And if you read my post I said that if he FORCED the team he is in the wrong but if the team agrees then who the hell cares?

Mira Arya Enthe3 votes

He isn't getting banned for his team agreeing to it. He is getting banned for a massive number of reports from teams who didn't want the person queue in the support role going into the off-jungle role.

CannabisOverlord6 votes

I mean i feel like stealing the enemy jungle camps is literally SUPPORTING the entire team.

WoonStruck2 votes

The fact that people are downvoting you...just...lol

Naramiel4 votes

If ADC takes golems occasionally, that's not reportable. If jungle takes some mid farm while mid is back at base, that's not reportable. Why should Nunu taking a jungle camp with Smite every so often be reportable just because he's support?

Dracocrash3 votes

"To then go steal your jungler's farm, abandon your assigned lane"

Who is stealing the junglers farm?

Mira Arya Enthe6 votes

The Nunu who everyone is defending, admittedly would take his own junglers camps when his counter jungling wasn't going well.

Dracocrash1 votes

I see, thats not very nice.

KylerEzraStar2 votes

why wouldn't it be ok? there are no rules saying you are not allowed to go double mid
