Mages in general having obscene amounts of sustain is screwed by the consistency of the spells they are using
Graves, Lucian, Corki, Jhin, Riven, Zed, etc. all have the same spell consistency as an AP mage.
Whats more is that unlike Spellvamp which is a stat, the passive of DDance is a static amount that isn't accumulated.
And like I already said, WoTA is a unique passive not the vamp stat. So why are they throwing an item that doesn't even have the stat that's allegedly problematic? WoTA has a static amount that wasn't accumulated, so why are you ignoring that?
Mages have no hp sustain. It was already something I hoped they would fix, but they're doubling down on making healing exclusive to ADs. I think that's fundamentally unfair.
Those are like almost all on hit spells which dont proc it, or a spell that does relatively low damage by itself.
On-hit spells do proc Death's Dance and Gunblade.
wtf are Jhin, Noc, Udyr and Riven doing here? Especially Riven, WTF she is completely AOE.
Jhin's W and R are single-target physical spells. Noc's Q and R are single-target physical. Udyr's Tiger Stance is a single-target physical dot that applies full DD vamp. I clicked Riven by accident; I meant to click Rengar for his single-target E.
Rofl. Not even gonna read the rest of that. You are wrong. AD doesn't scale as hard as AP. Fact.
I used math, you used words. Lee Sin's ult with its 2.0 ratio and 500 base damage is healing for more and scaling better than Zyra's .7 ratio and 350 base damage. Because fucking math. Nevermind the fact that ADC hypercarries are the highest scaling dps in the game, and they didn't get there by being AP.
Why is wide spread build-able spell based sustain that scales with damage as a stat for mages as a class anything but an issue?
Apparently it's only an issue if you don't scale off of AD. There's an item for you so long as you scale off AD. No other factors apply. It doesn't matter if you're ranged or melee
, what damage type you do
, whether you use abilities or AAs or both
, whether you have resource or no resource
, whether you're a hyperscaling carry
, whether you're aoe or single-target
, or whether you have tons of innate kit healing
.
The only restriction is "can I use AD at all." If the answer is yes, then you can build healing items. The only subclass in the game that's not allowed to have a healing item are ability-only, AP-only champs. That makes no fucking sense.
