Boy resourceless champions sure are fun to play with.

I wish Riot would come up with a design pattern for champions like these that is direct cost for their resourcelessness. For example, mobility and range are a common trade off. So is damage output and fragility. Utility and scaling might be considered a trade off too. But I can't point to what these champions pay in exchange for being resourceless.

Kat gives up having no CC

Riven gives up nothing at all

Funny thing is that all of these champions are shorter-range than their resource-based counterparts.

every single ability in yasuos kit is conditional, except windwall. and windwall has a large cooldown to make up for it.

q is basically an auto attack with slightly increased range, and gets its whirlwind only at every 3rd q, which makes it very predictable. his dash needs enemy units and he cant target the same unit twice within 10 seconds. it also takes him always exactly the same distance, even if that means he overshoots into turret range if youre careless. his ult needs a knockup.
