Thank god Veigar can't do it from stealth, with a leap that even if you cc him in midair will still hit you because "Spaghetti code"

I'm sorry but this is an apple and orange comparison, Veigar has to land a stun on you or at least get you inside of it so he can land his W which is a skillshot Q which is a skillshot and then ult you with a full rotation. Veigar's ult can no longer one shot people since it's a scaling execution so he needs to at least soften his target first, and that means putting his glass cannon ass in the line of fire in order to accomplish said goal.

Rengar can start his instagibbing spree with a 2 item power spike.Unless Veigar is massively fed and farmed he cant start one rotationing people until at the very least 3 items. And last time I checked you can't QSS or Banshee's veil Rengar leap. So again, apples to oranges.
