Positional Matchmaking is cool, waiting 80 seconds for a 25-10 stomp is not. (Ranked)

I want this post to be as unbiased as possible. All I'm saying is that I've seen a lot of complaints going around about the matchmaking, both on the boards AND by some very popular Twitch streamers. Even players who promote the game for the company are talking about how this season's MMR/Matchmaking is worse than ever, and it was never that great to begin with.

What do I think the biggest problem is? Multiple accounts. People buying Plat accounts for $20 and Riot not using the IP information they have at their disposal to punish players who account share (which is against ToS btw). Hand leveling a smurf is cool if you ask me, but it seems like it would be so incredibly easy to ban purchased accounts, or AT LEAST make not trying/giving up an actual reportable offense that can get you banned from Ranked ques specifically.

A dark truth about League of Legends is that the quality of the game is dependant upon the losing team. The better a fight the losing team puts up, the higher quality the game is. I'm going to skip sharing my background to keep this short and sweet, so I'll just say OBJECTIVELY that one sided stomps are less enjoyable and satisfying than a well played slugfest. Where equally powerful champions, whether you're a couple of potatoes angrily waddling at each other or two gods colliding, trade blows and give their all - that's when you push yourself to your limits to overcome the enemy. Like in the Rise music video, how Faker went down screaming. The only satisfaction that comes out of winning a stomp is the LP gain. The gameplay itself is objectively less fulfilling.

I see the posts about it, and I want more of them. We need to be heard. The players of League want a chance to prove themselves, and rise. This matchmaking we're given.... this ain't it, chief.

I agree that stomps are incredibly boring and I really don't feel like I have fun when I'm part of them on either side, but I don't think the issue is with positional matchmaking. The game has so many mechanics for snowballing that if one team gets a lead early there's not much room to come back. You just get hard stomps. Part of this is power spikes being nonexistent (A full late game comp can scale for 40 minutes and early game bully champs that are supposed to fall off are still somehow stronger) and part of it is how turrets are made of wet paper towels, even with plating.
