is frozen mallet a little to expensive?

I rarely see it used. honestly I only saw it like once or twice in gnar. but its a little to expensive for what it gives. 40 AD. 650 health. but i think its all in the passive. sure its really good. but 3100 gold is too much for an item that is supposed to be an early game item. since thats what most of it benefits gonna be . in lane. should be like 2800.

It's meant to be less cost efficient because nothing's more frustrating than playing an immobile champion against Frozen Mallet and getting permaslowed.

lol. true it probably is fraustrating but a bunch of champions perma slow you already. ashe? gnar? fiora?.

those perma slows are either A) attached to the core identity of the kit (Ashe) or B) a skill that allows the champ to stick to you once they get in range.

Ashe's Permaslow has always been part of her identity, and has been low duration. Her entire thing is building enough AS and MS so that she can keep you perma slowed. her slow's base amount is low enough that most people can get away from her if they want to disengage.

Gnar's Q is a skill shot. Albeit its hitbox is fairly large, and it travels fairly fast, but it can be dodged.

Fiora's is part of her E and thus a tool to help her stick to a target she's dueling.

it does seem a bit underused lately. personally whenever i would consider frozen mallet, i find that iceborn gauntlet is a better choice nearly every time.
