Some champions could use for some unique itemization that could synergize with them, I'm just Saying RIOT.

the issue is when an adc builds any ad item they never feel weaker or off their power curve.

when a mage rushes ardent they just get put into the dirt.

or they cant even rush rylais and try and kite them out because their main abilities already have slows attached or they would have no mana left to cast abilities forcing them to build a certain way.

this is because of auto attacks and their insane value. no AD item has negative value. or even if it does, its very minute, they are all combat oriented items, whereas mage items have defined half damage half utility aspects. even lifesteal is a combat stat. what if lifesteal no longer worked while in combat, would that be appropriate?

you could build any 6 items from that list on an adc and their damage would still be respectable and they would reliably 1v1.

but if you build item 3504 item 3174 item 3092 item 3115 item 3157 item 3102 you're wasting about 2k+ gold and have half the potential AP could have with an end game oriented build.

basically mage items are all geared towards specific champions, not that ap champions are general enough to function with variable amounts of AP and utility.

build item 3102 (the abyssal scepter replacement) on any mid laner as a first item rush, see what happens. (where these champs commonly rushed abyssal Ahri Diana Ekko Fizz Galio Katarina Kennen Leblanc or at least had the opportunity to do so) now no one even wants to build item 1057 in an unfavorable matchup in the hopes of surviving lane, because it doesn't even build into anything. now you're forced to go ramp damage boots ramp damage or else you just get decked being outright unable to kill your opponent.

Yeah. AD champions have way more classes than ap champions do. I'm never gonna build IE on most fighters and I don't expect ADC's to build Hydra.
