Personally.. feels like a bad nerf to his early jungle ._. a hurtful one i might add. And the decrease on the CC time of the E is it's a nerf to his ganks. We asked that his shield damage be separated from the Health instead you lower the damage leave it working the same.. lower the damage of the E and it's slow time and lower it's CD thinking it's balancing it.. no.. no it's not wtf riot :( people wasn't even concern with Naut... y u do dis ?

I tried it, its a huge buff

His clears are faster, his sustain is higher, and his ganks are actually better

You gotta max E first, not W. Trust me. Running AS runes is also not necessary anymore.

Edit: I was full hp after clearing red, blue, and krugs with the hp pots, and I cleared it all 15 seconds faster.

Before, he was almost dead.

What in the world were you running before? jesus.. before I cleared forg, golem, and dogs and ganked at full HP with next to no leash. I got to mid lane before they got to lv 3. My clears were that fast. Maxing E is an option now but not the best one, you forget that W gives aoe damage mix that with the sunfire came and you pretty much almost clear with 2 W hits and 1 E. At least it always worked that way for me I never had any problems naut before. Now it feels slower If I max E i'm taking too much damage if i Max W it's going by a bit slower. The ganks have improved depending on how long it's going on.. if it takes more than 5 seconds to accomplish the gank then yes it's better if you take less then nope it's not.

as i allways likd geeting somw as on naut, it's prettymuch a nerf. His overall dps has been increased in clahses, but he's incredible manahungry now, and hitting peeople with a heavy anchor doesn't feel as statisfying anymore. His early clear actually became worse, either you have around the same clear by maxing E, but need far more mana and loose more health, or you max W and clear slower than before. His ganks also became worse, 0.5sec less slow duration, and if you were in range for a E after 5-7sec, your ennemie should be dead anyways. The only point that was buffed is his teamfighting in short-medium duration fights, in longer fights you really notice the 60% increased relative manacosts(costs a bit less mana but is cast twice as often) Unless tanks get better items for manasustain, or naut recives some sort of buff for his AAs, i consider him as nerfed. Why has he less AD than Ali and Cho, even less AS and a (now)worse AA-steroid while swinging a massive Anchor with brachial force? The new jungletank item is a huge buff though

Prettymuch this. It's also somewhat bad for ap-bruiser toplane nauti, his trades with only W have become worse, and the E lost 40% of it's ap-ratio, lowering your burst and fast-waveclear. In most situations, you won't be able to land that second E as it's effecktive range vs enemies that run away is damn short.

The constant damage from the mini sunfire will probably make up for the lost damage and then some since it's still present after the shield pops. I like a lower cd and much lower mana cost on E. Losing a little bit of CC is bad, but I'm not knocking it until I try it.

I tried it and it's better to max out W for jungling still. The sustain is a lot more worth than the 5 second cd of the E that causes a lot of damage to wait for in the jungle. Team fight wise, It will only be really useful in long fights with no chase. Over all it's not that bad of a nerf but it does slow down early jungle and his damage potential to help secure kills.

His first clear is the same. Once he gets the new item it is better.

Not sure about the new kit changes but with Cinderhulk replacing Sunfire in his build path you can now second build Righteous Glory and then get Elixer of Size for pure terrifying ganks.

item 2138 + item 3800+ Nautilus = OH MY GOD RUN AWAY!

He looks terrifyingly strong on paper. So excited to get out of work and try him. item 3800 item 3143 item 3709 item 3274

I'm finding it to be a large buff. My first clear is even stronger than before. I'm clearing faster and ending with a higher percentage of health. The ganks are maybe slightly weaker. Maybe. Usually not. His damage output is so much higher because his damage is not so strongly linked to the shield anymore (E did not get a damage nerf. He doesn't build AP, so the ratio nerf means nothing), and his CC uptime is much higher in teamfights. The only possible complaint I have is mana costs, and even that doesn't matter much once I have righteous glory or frozen heart.

i honestly was expecting for a no cast-time for his E, making spamming it during teamfight isn't punishment (think of it as a hecarim Q, except that hecarim is actually Fast, and naut's slow, and naut doesn't have scaling if he goes tank which he does most of the time, and the waves have a travel time) other than that i think E is alot rewarding now, especially if you went for a Tank-cooldown build.

however his W is now somewhat, of a problem in a lane. thought i'm glad it went from a useless 15 on hit (7.5 damage per second) to 30 at level one.

this might not sound much, but i play nautilus in top, and the fact that it used to deal 40 damage (early levels even 5 more damage makes alot of changes) was very dominating, implying it was a simple 1v1 at level 1 (it's a startegy, stay in the fight until shield breaks)

but other than maxing W until it's second point, i don't think there's much point now, it's all in the E

i still vote for the no cast time in his E, to make better at chasing, than at running, after all you would want to use his CC offensively and defensibly
