Nerf Katarina

The problem is most of the community is either kat mains trying not to get her nerfed, people listening to the kat mains, or pros. Anywhere that isn't super competitive she can wreck face and it isn't because she's op, but simply way too easy to capitalize. In a teamfigh all the cc goes out on an initiate, let's say they have a tank Ap malph, a warwick, and a kat, Malphite ult you and warwick ults your adc, well your entire team will throw out everything on trying to keep your damage alive, now in normal teamfights, this isn't as bad as you think, you may have saved a carry, killed one of them, and sent the other one limping, now with katarina, she can just shunpo in and ult your defenseless team, cc won't stop her if she gets a kill or two in that one second, as she has insane resets and can simply ult again. In pro gameplay people are coordinated enough to cc immediatly and save what is needed, in casual gameplay, that isn't the case. In conclusion, the best counter to kat is common sense, dont just stand there retards take out their damage! In all seriousness though, it's your fault you lose to her, she has a powerful late game, your best chance is to initiate on her and maybe force her to shunpo away, if you get the jump you won't be using as much cc and it should be a 4v5 if you manage to force her out.

Ok keep minusing me. But to be honest - killing Katarina is much harder than playing her.

I love Katarina. I love playing her (Despite what you think, to be good with her does not just involve button mashing) . That being said, if you save your knockup / stun / silence / knockback / zonya (wow that's a huge list) for when I use my ult (or you bait it)....... Yeah.... my life is more difficult.

tl;dr when you have to face Kat, build appropriately.

I don't know what's going on, but Katarina and Master Yi are both showing up non-stop in my solo queue games all of a sudden.

Neither is overpowered, but they are both so stressful to play against. I hope this fad isn't here to stay, not because they are free wins, but because they punish small mistakes incredibly hard, and you can't always count on your teammates not to make small mistakes in solo queue.

Champions like Kat and Yi (Honestly, any assassin styled character) are countered extremely hard by any form of hard CC. Snares, charm, taunts, Silences, stuns, and knockups all screw with them quite heavily, and silences can make their life hell very quickly. A CCed assassin is a dead assassin in any fight.

Basically, if the enemy team has a mobile champ with no utility... save a CC ability for them at all times! Don't use your stuns on tanks or bruisers (unless you absolutely MUST do so to protect your own carries, and even then your carries should be capable of kiting enemy tanks and bruisers with their ranged attacks or soft CCs)
