People Complaining about Malzahar Soloing Dragon at Lvl 2

Elite4Runner··3 votes·380 views

You know what is actually really dumb about this complaint? He will be putting himself in a huge amount of danger by doing this, especially since it is so well known at this point. If you're playing against a Malzahar who is missing around level 2, you can probably guess where he is. Hell, you might even consider warding around dragon right away just so you can know if this is what he's doing. If you catch him, kill him, and take the dragon buff for all of his hard work. Be sure to /A and thank him for his hard work.

Yes, that is one of his balance problems that people neglect to address that it can be countered.

But there are more, which is why he is included in this upcoming hotfix.

I don't think the problem is simply that he could solo dragon at level 3. The problem was that he could safely solo it at level 3 and still has enough power to rape the other team in 2v2 or 3v3 skirmishes if the lanes try to interfere.

I don't understand what you're saying.

He can solo dragon early (I get that part, and I see why people are upset by it) but he can also hold his own in a fair fight as well???

I mean if you were saying that he could 1v2 that is saying something, but there are tons of champions who can "Rape the other team in 2v2 or 3v3 skirmishes" so I don't see your point.

Hmm, .. well you might be right in some instances, but I really don't think this is always or even true most of the time unless the Malzahar player happens to have a fairly higher skill level.

And honestly, he really can't "Rape the other team" early game nearly as well as people are making him out to sound. His voidlings are not all that hard to target or run away from. His other abilities don't really deal all that much damage early on. So even if he has the advantage early on you can always just retreat. If he doesn't, he has a crap defense and no mobility or cc for safety. If he is over extended and you have the advantage, he's dead.

You act as if he's gonna be low HP under 2% or something when taking dragon. Well, you're wrong. His voidlings will do all the tanking and he will have over 80% HP which means ganking him means nothing unless you bring two people which wastes time just to get what? A flash out of him? He got the dragon, see ya.

The champ is legit broken.

If he is using his voidlings to tank dragon he is going to have one at least of his two spells down, burning through mana and will be unable to respond to an enemy champion or two jumping out of nowhere, and a dragon.

Taking two champions out of lane for a kill (probably even first blood), and an easy dragon, or even just a flash is hardly a waste of time.

Funny cause a Proxy Singed easily proves you wrong and there are high diamond Singed mains that do proxies which distract the top laner and the jungler. The top laner misses loads of CS, the jungler gets behind.

Yeah, nice try. If it's a jungle Malz, a flash isn't as important as a laners.

Well the problem with your logic here is that Malzahar is definitely not Singed. Not at all.

Malzahar at level 2 has less health, less armor, less magic resist, less movement speed, no cc. His passive would be the best thing to make up for any of this, but at first rank his W will have a long enough cooldown that he will need to tank dragon shots long enough to burst his passive, making him take full damage and will be susceptible to CC. Even if he does manage to flash and get away, you at least pushed him off dragon. Still a win. If you time your attack correctly, you can easily take dragon after he is gone.
