Many champs buy it and it's a solid item. It's built as much as death's dance when you include all champs in all roles. Even higher buildrate if you subsection it to top or jungle. http://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/items/all

i always thought it was solid, giving you a nice health buffer in true damage, plus builds it so she never has to back. the point of the item is so you can continuously engage in skirmishes. so instead of going to kill someone trying to backdoor, then going back to base so you can heal, you instead just go to the next place your team needs you. it also lets you heal up a little before trying to take major objectives. it isnt the best item ever, but it has its niche.

RIP Raka S5. but even him doesn't need him that much. Imo Warmog should regen a %Max Hp even in combat. Not 3%. But like 0,5% Max Hp while in combat. and can't be increased through masteries or other items.

It's supposed to be a strong regen item that works well against poke. In theory, if you were a tank playing against a poke comp, you could buy this to eat poke, step back and regen the damage off, and then step up again.

And it actually works for this. Warmogs is a pretty good item for tanks on ARAM, since it's basically one giant poke and siege fest. Not only that, but if a tank happens to survive a fight, they can back off and be back to full health in no time.

On SR, I feel like you don't see that kind of battle between poke and siege anymore. Also, there's so much %HP damage running around that it could be hard to justify buying a high-HP item that doesn't have any resistances on it.

I don't have a problem with Warmogs.

It's a good last item for certain tanks and in certain situations. 800 HP is very good if you happen to be Sejuani/Shen/Volibear and want extra HP for your damage conversion.

It's also very strong against poke. You get the same HP regen as fountain if you can stay out of combat for 8 seconds. What that means is that you get a free 'back' and heal every time you get out of a fight that doesn't require you to spend time walking to lane. In any game where you're not getting involved in a full scale fight the second you leave your base.

The absolute most I could see happening with Warmogs is a small stat buff, something like 800>850 HP, but even that isn't really needed IMO.
