Thanks for your contribution (A Top-laners opinion)

I'm writing this from the Island resort named Top lane to clarify why exactly we need each other, like it or not. Being this lonely place on the rift without any other ally present we're able to get a detached view from our allies making our opinion of you mostly objective and based on results. If I see a double kill for the enemy going down bot lane I don't see your struggling to lane as MF/Sona versus a Graves/Leona bot but just the fact that our enemy just reaped 600 gold.

But this works both ways, while I don't see what's going on inside your head you can't get any insight in my reasoning unless we hold a war council. I've lost count how many people told me to get TP in champion select whenever I play Lane bullies like Morde and Swain with the intention of getting an early advantage. You just see the flaming hand and think we're selfish for putting our apparent greed for kills before our team. But by taking Ignite we're able to dominate our lane and force their Jungler to gank and shift their attention from the lower part of the map. Not only this but the gold lead often puts us in a position in which we can effectively serve as a frontline that actually deals damage. Besides, the enemy will most likely use his tp to teleport back to lane each time he gets forced out of it, making him lose map presence if he decides to either lose cs or maybe even die in an attempt to fight at drake.

But the most important thing we top laners seem to forget is that we need you, yes YOU. This is not a one v one game like top lane makes it out to be but a team effort. Our damage, tankiness, sustain, cc or general presence is worth nothing if we don't have you to back us up and vice versa. So thank you.

Thank you for providing us with the cc and peel to not only keep us all alive but also engage team fights and turn things to our advantage. And thank you for all the Vision, without you we'd all be as blind as lee.

Thank you for being the ace up our sleeve, our atomic bomb, the embodiment of firepower. Without you we'd lack the damage to ever get things done. Not only do you depend on us keeping you alive, we need you to survive to succeed.

Thank you for being ever present and providing us with an advantage every time you strut out of the jungle only to successfully kick ass and chew bubblegum. You not only get the most hate but you also deserve the most praise. You need to be everywhere at once and control the objectives all at the same time.

Thank you for being our upfront damage and source of wave clear. You're the one that not only wins his lane but by doing so effectively wins the other as well by roaming and lending us your strength. But that temper of yours could use some work.

And finally there's us, we're often not the team member you deserve but the one you need right now. We're damage, we're wave clear, we're tankiness, we're sustain, we're cc, we're peel, we're objective control, we're map presence. But often not all at once, there are as many iterations of us as there are other laners. Don't generalize us as the guy that should be dead whenever you're pushing. We vary from being bruisers like to tanks like and sometimes even carries . We don't pick what we do just to piss you off, we pick what we feel we'll get the best results with and feel comfortable with. And besides, we're nothing without you all.
