I’d much rather wait an extra 5 minutes to play the position that I want rather than getting stuck playing support for 45. Average que time may go up but I am 100% okay with that if I don’t get stuck playing a position I don’t want too!!

Lolwut 5 min? You obviously didn't play before autofill. Ranked queues were 10-15 min minimum with 25-30 not being uncommon during slow times. For high elo could climb into an hour plus.
Not to mention you get one dodge and have to start that wait all over again. Just learn to play support, you will only get filled once in every 5 games or so.

No, you can't. You're playing League of Legends, and supporting is part of the game.
And there is no way it would be "an extra 5 minutes" as a result.
