because Grail is for supports and gives you extra health regen with the mana regen you buy

it's a sustain item

Don't forget mid karma for those insane shields that wouldn't be possible with tooth.

Grail is for supports, providing additional healing on shielded or healed targets.

If you are looking to compare Nashor's Tooth to a mage item, Morellonimocon is probably the closest equivalent (due to similar AP and CDR).

but to pair up with morello's for cdr there aren't any no more nasho'rs is probably the best direct option.

all of these give 10% though.. idk what your argument was because for cdr you'd need 2 of these vs just the 1. All of of these depend on the situation even the champ.

That's true, I forgot that champions only have two item slots so it's impossible to hit 40% cdr with only two items unless they both have 20% cdr..

Oh, wait.

Nashor's Tooth is for on-hit or bruiser mages, with the CDR and attack speed to garnish it's on-hit passive and the bruiser playstyle of it's holder(s). Grail is for supports, utility mages, etc. Things that can help the team, help with fights, save others, etc. Grail's passive of storing heal charges from a percentage of damage dealt, then expending those charges when shielding or healing an ally (up to the value of the shield/heal) was implemented to rebalance the item around supports; giving the seesaw passive (of more hp regen if mana>health or vice versa) to mid laners was simply too much power in one item for something that was rushed quite a bit up until it was changed. It also helps give raw strength to healers, shielders, utility mages, etc. by increasing the values on their spells, giving more bang for their buck so to speak.

nashor's is weak on bruiser mages and more for full ap attack speed mages. reason is because if you (as a bruiser) don't build enough AP to actually scale the passive, you're better off with Wits End while getting your CDR elsewhere (not hard either).
