Darius Irelia Fiora Quinn Teemo Renekton Malphite Pantheon Kennen Akali JarvanIV

The Fiora matchup is somewhat complex and if you don't parry properly you'll end up feeding so I don't recommend that one. Darius also gets a bit complicated as you have to hit your blade portion of Q and you have to use E to interrupt her abilities for that counter to be really effective there as well. Finally Malphite is more about being more useful later in the game to your team and winning that way, try not to 1v1 her until you actually have armor and can trade effectively.

Every other champion in the list pretty much straight up smashes her in lane.

If you're good at the champion sure.

The main thing with Riven is you need to not die to her in lane because of how hard she snowballs. Even the matchups that are unfavorable for her are only that way because they're much more difficult for her to get a kill and can shut her out of the game if it swings the other way.

I like GP personally, but that's because I love the champion and am pretty comfortable with him. I also understand he's a farm early and carry mid-late champion, so deny Riven her snowball, and you can often win just off of that. I don't recommend him though because he's difficult, and the matchup is also quite difficult.

what about Quinn, does she stomp riven under her boot during early game or mid game or just all game?

Probably all phases, the trick is to harass a lot and blind her when she comes in for her combo.

I'd consider it, but I'm not much of a Quinn player, so I'd prefer to play Irelia, J4, Renekton, or Darius.

all day bb. as quinn top you play an extra game with riven called "when you go to last hit i auto you" followed by "i back up and auto more if you go in, or auto you out of farm before i back up". if she tries to aggro, blind aa wait for that dash, e then finish her

Riven's cooldown for her Q is shorter than Poppy's W I believe.

Taliyah is pretty good. Her E punishes her for practically everything. Although I can understand if you don't want to play her, so off the top of my head Chogath Darius Lissandra Kennen Maokai Renekton are also pretty decent. They have great ways to just disengage, negate her damage completely or just out trade her.

I like nocturne. I haven't tried it that much, but unless you're up against a riven main, I find that his fear helps screw up her combos, and his ult helps chase her down when she shields and gets away
