Boots of swiftness give too little movement speed

So in the latest patch boots of swiftness got nerfed, probabily due to theyr high prominence in the previous patches and basically everyone building them.

while maybe a nerf was deserved, i think it was the wrong kind of nerf. With the removal of boot enchants FLAT movespeed is even scarcer, boots are literally THE only flat permanent mov speed purchase you can do, they are core on some champions (some champions have movespeed scallings, others rely on having slightly higher mov speed,etc) and i dont think swiftness boots in it's current state cuts it for such champs) sure there are %increases but they are NOT the same thing and boots of mobility give only out of combat stats.

If riot thinks movespeed, more specifically flat movespeed is too powerfull of a stat to have and that it directly affets game balance then it should be priced accordingly, rather than slowly being withered away as a stat.

My sugestion: either reverse the nerf and make them as expensive as the "combat tier" boots or buff the remaining "utility tier" boots into boots of swiftness level. As they are now, paying 600g for some mere 10 movespeed feels incredibly underwhelming, I'd much rather pay more for actual stats.

Slows are extremely common and Boots of Swiftness are useful when dealing with constantly applied slows.

Even without the additional movement speed, they will still be useful for this purpose.

You will be thankful they exist when you have to deal when the enemy team can chain-slow you.

But.... you aren't paying 600g for mere +10 movement speed over other boots.... you're paying for reducing the effectiveness of slow....

Boots are not literally the only flat MS you can get.

Cloud Drake gives a flat +15/+30/+45 MS, and it doesn't cost you a single gp.

Do note the main strength of the boots is not the extra MS, but the slow reduction. And considering how prevalent slows are, it's not to be underestimated.

If riot would address certain items and not boots, movement speed would probably be under control. item 3113 item 3086 Both are pretty cheap and can be purchased early. item 3142 item 3087 item 3285 item 3100 item 3078 item 3094 item 3046 There are just far too many options for movement speed, and the passive from item 3086 anditem 3113 need to be unique for all of their variants. They can both have their separate passives, but building both item 3100 and item 3285 for instance, should only give 5% movement speed total.

They should just scrap current boot designs. Make one boots with 4 upgrade choices for x amount of gold each. That way boots are a full on item like other major buys and early game you can get whatever you need for a given situation.

I say nerf the MS down to the normal for all boots

But buff the slow resistance to 60%, making it better than tenacity boots by a good bit vs slows

I feel like that cost does not match the movement speed increase either. +45 for all other boots except mobility, +55 for 'swiftness' boots. The only way I can see that they justify buying is if the speed is bumped up, possibly even to +65, and remove the slow duration effect or if the speed stays the same and the slow duration effect is increased to something worthwhile like 40% reduction. I have seen some argue that the slow duration is good but in my experience any movement speed slow that hits you is going to let the other team catch you if they are chasing you unless it is as close to 0 in duration as possible.
