Champion.gg - Rengar Jungle Stats, Builds, Runes, Masteries and Counters

Rengar a champion who used to be around a 50% winratio (normal) is now around 46% (below normal) thanks to outcry of the comunity. I guess that's what happens when you REMOVE damage from an assassin (the class which is suposed to deal burst damage to single targets), i guess rengar is the new akali.

Well i shouldn't surprised, judging from current teamcomps with quinn top, graves jungler, corki mid, and a metric ton of blue ezreals i guess the only role league of adc mains didn't take yet is support, crying about rengar until he got nerfed is way more efective than buying pinks i guess.

No offense to Rengar mains, but a small ! above your head in no way prepares you for the shit-ton of burst that's about to leap out of nowhere and kill you, ESPECIALLY when Red Trinket doesn't even let you target stealth champions anymore

:) yeah they gutted our poor murdercat. But thats what happens when your job is literally hunting adcs and squishy mages. The salt gets so real that they nerf a 50% winrate champ to the ground lol. Hopefully they get rid of the new clunkyness crap and just reduce some damage on his bola or something.

As a Rengar main I had the same reaction after the nerfs:

Damage down, ok Utility down from unreliable bola, k Ult range indicator up, holy smokes

In reality, Rengar is still fine, if you tweak the build, adapt to the new bola which is much nicer now than one patch before, he's still just as good as before. The new assassin item fills the gap nerfs have made. Be happy with Rengar as he is now, he still does the same job, one shots (went 20/1/5 in plat 2 games) and isn't in the spotlight, it's the spotlight and community bitching that gets champions nerfed, those who are not under the protection of rito ofc.

It's still a feast going against 4 adcs, trust me.

To be fair Rengar was bullshit.

You can't justify a champion having the burst to 100-0 you in the time it takes you to react to him jumping on you.

Yeah, if U use flash vs Rengar ult U may not have it next time, BUT WHO CARES? YOU'RE NOT DEAD. Wasn't that the goal? His counterplay is dumb and different from regular countering (i.e. having to constantly group to do anything), but it shuts him down all the same.

Ya wanna know why Rengar players usually target adcs, it's cause they're too busy farming that next item alone halfway across the map. Being a support main during when Rengar was a fotm was a nightmare, but not because I thought Rengar was broken or anything, it's cause a lot of the adcs I played with acted like they were destined to die to Rengar and thus had to splitpush farm as much as possible to make up for time spent dead. I even tried babysitting them on my AP supports (assassin mains knew enough not to bother with the metric bricktons of armor I stacked on them), but that meant that I couldn't be present for objectives nearly as often and some of the smarter Rengar players would just wait till I left to ult mah adc.

Personally, when I wanted to roam alone as a support, all I really had to do was be a b*tch to kill and I'd be set for the rest of hte game. I would honestly like Assassin Jungler meta to come back so that I can stop worrying about Sated Devourer Jungle meta.

Looks like people who've actually mastered his combo have a 55% winrate. I guess Riot is actually balancing Rengar around people who are actually good with him. Maybe instead of crying for buffs, you should try to be one of those people?

its temporary, when the shitty rengar players that only had success because he was broken now lose more games, so when they stop playing him his win rate will climb back up

his winrate for experinced rangars, which was absurdly high with ~59% befor, went down to ~54%, which still is a great value.

So basically, you are complaining that you now have to work for your succes with rengar...

He has Ryze syndrome.

His core gameplay style/pattern is pretty hard to balance around all levels of play.

Rengar is a zero counterplay, hypersnowballing champion that is good from level 6 all the way into late game. If Rengar is fed and he knows what he is doing, he just DELETES squishies. Stealth is a mechanic that the community and Riot have learned to hate so as long as Rengar has that ultimate, know he will never be in the forgivable high winrate assassin tier like Zed. And quite frankly, good riddance to Rengar.
