Why was Fervor of Battle removed?

It was THE quintessential rune for bruisers. Hell, even ADCs took it. It wasn’t unbalanced or anything, and it was a good rune for any champ that used mainly auto-attacks as their source of damage. Removing it only caused a shitshow where Press the Attack was abused bot and subsequently nerfed to oblivion, and after that was the bullshit Fleet Footwork, Overheal, and Relic Shield meta. So that begs the question of why fervor was removed.

To scale up it to the power provided by other keystones, it would have been stupidly overpowered.

Also, all it was was stacking damage the longer you are in combat, which made it uninteractive and only favoring champs that could take longer trades.

On hit champions.... that's it. Yasuo, Master Yi, Kayle, Kog'Maw, Varus... all broke it utterly so it had to be garbage for anyone but them.... sort of like Kleptomancy is
