Master Yi has had too many buffs in the most recent patches. He wreaks havoc on lower elo players, including me and he has a 53% winrate in both bronze and silver.

Patch 8.9 * Warwick nerfs*- less competition for Master Yi

Patch 8.10 * Scuttle changes*- basically made only afk farmers viable , including Master Yi Patch 8.11 Baron Nashor nerfed- Master Yi can take it even easier now Hunter's Machete compensation- more attack speed for Yi, speeding up his clear Essence Reaver rework- even more attack speed for Yi when he ults

Patch 8.12 Sterak's Gage changes- base AD to bonus AD, making Yi do more true damage on his E while also giving him tankiness and tenacity Riot pls nerf

Patch 8.9 Less competitiont for everyone Patch 8.10 Made only early dominant jglers, particularly at lvl 2, strong. Which is unfavorable for Yi, who is weak early. 8.11 It's compensation. Not a net buff. 8.12 He's getting Sterak as at least his 5th item. That change doesn't really mean anything.

He needs a rework.

The nerf to WW doesn't make Yi stronger. The 8.10 change didn't make AFK farm junglers stronger. Let me play Graves vs Yi and show you how to stomp such a game. The item changes were universal, they were not a Yi buff. The only straight buff he got was the bonus attack speed at level 1.

With Rageblade and Essence Reaver, Yi does about 50% true damage. He was already extremely powerful if you didn't CC him, but now you CAN'T CC him because Essence Reaver gives him his W every 2 seconds.

Yi lost 15% attack speed on machete. Compensation was lower.

Play him against pantheon, jax, udyr, shaco and warwick then comment me a reply how did your game go. Btw I am not asking you to go taric+yi combo because thats a different problem, that's not as yi problem that's a funnel comp problem.

Warwick is one of my mains, there was a point where I could deal with him as Warwick, im a pretty decent jungler, i gank often in comparison to other junglers, but recently I've had to ban him to stop him from just getting fed off of my bot lane

No one solos Baron and Yi gained 10% bonus attack speed, even though Machete gave 15%. That's not a buff.

Who builds Gage on a champion who has ZERO bonus health?

I don't think that they care about nerfing him. They like seeing him make pentakills with only right click + Q. Now, if he ults he will have Q every 2 seconds because of essence reaver, Jump+Jump+Jump, Pentakill. He is like the very very old kha zik that jumped a lot but with 3x damage and AAs that hurt more than abilities and execute way faster. In low elo matches where coordination is pretty unusual, players and unable to fight him and so they loose and keep stuck in bronze. This is the Cycle, every year. Riot only cares about Diomond + Master Stats so GL with him because he is not going to receive any nerfs. But Hey! Diamonds are starting to feel the weight of this champion too because before these buffs they could team up and stop him but when Master Yi jumps multiple times in a short time there is a problem, he can avoid stuns with his Q and now he can use It multiple times so... You can figure out the rest.

He doesn't need a nerf but a rework that gets rid of his comically low skill floor but still maintains his skill cap, I know master yi is supposed to be an easy champ for a fun game but in his current state he's literally braindead unless you're daring to play him in d4 or higher.

Master Yi is what i consider kinda a problem child champion. by this i mean where as most champions you wont see much performance issues between issues but for him he is like a god in low elos and mediocre to weak in high elos so they kept buffing him to be good in higher elos so now we got the mess with Yi X Taric. The reason its so strong is because it covers every weakness Master Yi has while allowing him to snowballing very quickly and early.

Some of these are buffs to more than just Yi you know. Like the Warwick nerf, Baron nerf, Hunter's Machete change, and Sterak's Gage change.
