Flawed Honor System

I have a couple criticisms of the honor system. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I have never seen anybody honor another person for being tilt proof. The only honors I've ever seen are from people carrying the game or making a good call. Often it is the ADC, mid, or support who gets honored because he/she either got tons of kills or set up tons of kills or told the team to do baron while the enemy team was farming or whatever.

Getting punished once can destroy your hopes from ever getting out of honor 0. My last ban was from 8/21, and it's been nearly 4 months and I am still honor 0. Also, there's a button that says that you can skip honoring. If nobody was playing well and all players were tilted, only then would it be useful. So far, I've had more games where have I won rather than lost. Therefore, the button is obsolete since someone had the most kills or told the team to take objectives.

I feel like honoring people does not give any progress. When the new system came out, I always made sure to honor my teammates, getting little to none honors myself. I never made it past honor 2. That "Everyone honored a teammate" message only benefits the people who were honored, not those who honored.

There should be an honor progress bar to track progress. If I've been stuck at the same point, I'd actively try to carry my team and be nice to teammates when they died or made a mistake, but I know that there is no point. It's so slow trying to climb out of honor 0 that there isn't a reason to try anymore.

Also, I have had over 150 honors for the teamwork in the old system. I never got an icon for it. You don't get any rewards, gifts, or even messages from friends when you're banned. Regarding the messages, I realized you get messages if you have the LOL Friends app on your phone.

Honestly, the game sucks. It has so many bugs, and the community is full of toxic people that go unpunished. The only reason I haven't quit is because my friends play it.

Wants to quit League Only continues to play because of his friends. Goes to the official board to complain about a minor and irrelevant aspect of the game.

Why do you even give a fuck? You obviously hate the game, you hate the people playing this game and here you are complaining about the honor system? LOL

It's not like it currently matters which type of honor you get. It's not like it is distinguished or tallied whatsoever.

As to not getting out of Honor0, if you are getting validly reported, it will significantly slow down the progress of your honor.

I agree, I have never been banned and I am still only honor 2. There should be a progress bar because it shows that the system actually does keep track and motivates people to be kind when they are close to getting a specific honor. I personally know toxic people who have honor 5. I know people who have been chat restricted for saying GGEZ. They aren't toxic but just want to have a little of fun. This is a game and tbh, saying ggez is just like a taunt which is what we have now anyway.

The only reason I haven't quit is because my friends play it.

then you shouldn't care about the honor system really. even if your trying to show off to your friends. since i assume thats why your trying to get back your honor.

You've never encountered any other player that deserved a "tilt-proof" honor?

Honor is a subjective thing you reward other players, but here's my criteria. If a player undergoes any particular stress, either from teammates or gameplay, and still plays with an effort to win, then I consider them tilt-proof. If their plays eventually made for game-winning plays, even more so.

I have never seen anybody honor another person for being tilt proof.

I can say that I get tilt proof quite frequently, and I also give that honor out to others when they handle a bad situation with calm and poise.
