How hard is it to hit the nexus?

Is there anything more frustrating than playing with people that don't know how to close a game? Why does it seem to be so hard to understand to hit the nexus and win? Run up and hit the nexus to end the game. I mean... I didn't come to just rant but... what about this concept is seemingly so hard to understand? Even when you ping, or outright say "Everyone is dead, end the game" when there's absolutely nothing to stop you.

  • Your team gets a clean/semi clean ace with 50+ enemy timers OH but i have to complete that 6th item just cuz so im gonna B and give the enemy a chance to recover.

  • The only thing stopping you from running up and hitting an exposed nexus is a support and a half health jungler OH but lets waste time farming jungle camps or split pushing to a tier 2 we didnt get

  • We got another team ace and their t3 towers are down, all our damage is alive but WAIT we NEED to kill baron first at least once this game to give the enemy a chance to respawn

And then your lead is lost because the enemy team had so much time to recover, hold, and hit their late game spikes they can turn the game around. Your team could have won 10-15 minutes ago but time is insisted on being wasted with things you don't need to do at the time you can just run up, hit some stones and end the game. Is that really so hard?

I will openly admit I stall out games on purpose sometimes to get 5 drags with baron and four infinity edges on riven/rengar, but I feel like at that point if you have enough gold to sell an item and make a whole new item any time, you're probably so ahead you won't lose.

I lose normals to this. In rankeds I never do it though.

Mainly because I play for fun of playing, not for winning.

I'm that guy that never surrenders, even though they have 3 towers and we lost inibs -- This because I always pick a champion I enjoy playing with, and to the last minute I want to fight, the harder the better it feels.

The only times I care 100% about winning it's when team-play is happening, and the match is somewhat to very even. I actually start underplaying when my team is overly fed, not even consciously, it just doesn't feel right anymore.

And when a game is being enjoyable and we can finish I just don't =P afterall I wasn't playing to win.

Most of the time, we don't really feel like ending because after how hard we have come to achieve 80% full builds, and then all goes to waste when the game ends :'( Only applies to winning teamkills like 30 vs 5 of course.

"Oh but the game is fun, let's not close it just y-"

NO!, THE GAME IS FUCKING OVER! END IT! IT'S NOT FUN TO HAVE VICTORY SNATCHED AWAY FROM YOU AT THE LAST SECOND, AND IT'S NOT FUN TO FIGHT A FOE THAT CAN BARELY STAND, END IT!
