...don't load into a game just to quit it 5 minutes later because you have to leave for school--or anything in general that clearly does not allot you enough time to play. I mean if you know youve got to leave for something, be it for school, work, a sex change operation; if you know you cant stay for the whole game or even longer than 5 minutes, why load into a game? Why be trying to play at all? Is it really so bad to just go to a bot game, or load a custom game with bots?

"TRELOLOL UTZ N8T R4NKD HWQ C3RAS?!?!?" I certainly care because ranked or not i want to enjoy my time whatever mode it is. Sucks that you have school/work but don't ruin MY day off. It just makes you a complete dick going into a game when you KNOW you don't have enough time to play it. No one should do that for any reason. It's simply not fair to everyone else especially if they would be nice enough to do YOU that common courtesy. I'm not trying to mother my kid while i afk in your game; I play when i know i dont have to.

Edit: I understand some things spontaneously show up that need attention, and thats fine. What is not fine or justifiable is KNOWING you don't have any time to play, but youre trying to play anyway just to end up quitting the game shortly after it begins.

I never quite understood why people do this, but sadly they are out there. But this isnt only for people in school. Grown adults who need to go to work full off this. just really annoying. Usually the rule of thumb is "If you cant commit at least an hour to play a match dont play"!

I follow that same rule of thumb.

But then again, I put league above everything else. So if I did get an 1hr+ long game and I needed to head to school (especially if it is ranked), I would rather be late for school. How else am I gonna get to Diamond than playing full games. :P

ok so, perhaps I shouldn't use literally as a replacement for figuratively like everyone else in the english language under the age of 99. No she wouldn't kill me and no she wouldn't destroy my computer but she'd delete my league, but she would be unreasonably mad at me. She hates the game to an extent I cannot understand because I played it a bit a few years ago and didn't answer her calls on time so now she REALLY hates it.

Don't ask me why even when now I literally talk to her as soon as she calls and only play it when we got nothing planned she has literally banned me from league to the point that when I play it on the down low with friends while she's asleep they tell her and she gets mad at me.

real annoying but that's pretty much my only complaint about her and maybe now that she's getting a mouse I can convince her to try the thing, she's really into smite though.

Now if you're joking I'm sorry but your reply was so serious sounding I couldn't think of it as anything besides that, thank you for the concern though.

Yeah and it really pisses me off when sometimes the game they fuck up, is literally the only game I have time to play before I need to go to work. So even though I actually budgeted my time correctly, instead of having some fun before work I instead get to limp through 20mins of BS and not enough time to actually do what I wanted.

The problem with the younger generation is the fact that they don't really understand how league is. They think its the same as Halo, COD, BF etc. where they are used to leaving because in those games they allow other players to take your place on the team if you leave.

I just don't think those people understand that league is different in the regard.

That's something we need to address. I'd like to be able to take the place of a player who left in similar ELO games. No penalties to me if I lose, but I still get half the IP for the match.

IP perhaps? Maybe double/triple if won (ONLY if) to make for the difficulty. Might prove to be quite attractive for some people looking for a challenge. I mean, people play Dark Souls just to waste their time... lol.

people play dark souls because the game rewards you for figuring out the mechanics of the enemies and bosses and memorizing it so you'll always get better since nothing really changes in an area once you clear it until you yourself find a secret or use an item.

...this has nothing to do with being a "younger generation." You said it yourself, it's a certain type of gamer mentality that has perpetuated with Halo, CoD, or BF. Those games are all older than League.

Yeah, but the styles haven't changed. Halo 2 came out when DotA 1 was still being worked on by Guinsoo, and the Xbox headset was a big deal at the time. If anything, you're the younger generation here, whining about them old-timey FPS online shootery players moving in on your new-fangled MOBAs. Dagnabbit.

At least goto aram... Most casual game mode ever... Though I'd prefer you not load in at all... (You can practice cs'ing in customs... totally viable option) (Directed at school children and not OP if that wasn't clear)

I have tried reporting people for this, as I find it extremely offensive, but I have never gotten the notice back from Riot that confirmed the player being punished. Gives the impression they don't care, even if they do (and in my opinion, they do).

I don't even believe in the truth of these excuses anymore (not that they're valid even if they were true). If you've played as many games as I have, you'll notice a trend that many of these "I gotta go to "insert whatever place" people tend to be from games that are going badly.

Why not just show some honesty and say "I'm a sore loser" instead? Not that it's gonna stop the 9 reports either way. It's really like the "LAG" excuse for dying instead of acknowledging outplays now, it's become too conveniently timed to actually believe anymore.

Don't play near dinner time tbh. If you have to go after an hour I'd understand, because over an hour is too long of a timesink for a single game. But lots of people are like "sorry g2g eat" like 25 or even 45 minutes in. If your parents don't give you any warning and force you to eat with them, you should know not to start a game if they're preparing dinner or it's around dinner time y'know?

Had two people in game feed super hard but refuse to surrender. They were pre-made jungle and top, and jungler would exclusively gank top and neglect all other lanes and objectives, and they still managed to feed top lane. 30 minutes roll by and suddenly we start winning! This is the turn around.

"Hey can we surrender, me and the top laner are at school and have to go to class"

C'mon guys. Why didn't you just surrender at the 20 minute mark when everybody else wanted to and there was no hope against a fed team that YOU fed? Why surrender 10 minutes later when we can actually win? Why start a game half an hour before class starts?
