Your team wants you to play tank, but they never play WITH the tank

Is there ANYTHING more frustrating than everyone wanting to be squishy and saying its YOUR job to tank, and you do it ok but then they dont play with the tank they forced you to play? It makes my tank pick literally and completely useless if youre not waiting for me to actually do the job you told me to do--i could have played something that can actually fit the way your playing by ignoring the team tank. YOU want to dive into the middle of the team? WOW you know people that can do that safely? Tanks. You dont actually want to play a tank but you still want to play LIKE one? You know who helps you do that? Healers, shielders, dIsruptors, buffers, NOT a tank.

If youre going to make someone tank can you actually let them tank? Let THEM initiate fights, let THEM front line, WAIT for them to get there to do it. But dont say "Support pick a tank" so you dont have to BUT THEN play like you were a tank anyway trying to frontline, trying to dive their whole team as a squishy. What the hell am i going to tank if everyone jumps ahead of me.

I asked my team why they made me play a tank if they werent going to let me tank, and this one player told me "To help protect your team" While they were jumping ahead of me trying to make flashy big damage plays on the enemy frontline, and dying and im like how the hell can i protect anyone like that? You know who actually can protect people who play like that? Healers, shielders, buffers, disruptors, NOT a tank.

I really think im just going to ignore this from now on and hope for the best because its not like i dont want to tank for my teams if and when we need a tank but im usually wasting my time as they never play with the tank in the first damn place in which case i could have played a utility mage. These mindless players that just go "UHHH GUYS GUYS WE NEED A TANK JUST CUZ UHHHH YEA, RIGHT? I DONT WANT TO DO IT BUT WE REALLY NEED ONE" and then not let the tank do anything are the fucking worst.

Yep, when you are a fed tank, but team simply watches you die in teamfight fights and then engages after your death. Or they die engaging on their own.Fun times.[zombie-nunu-bummed] .

Exactly...they wait for you do die because they won't risk them not getting the kill. Tank dies --- greater chance they can clean up with a higher kill count. If they were a proper teammate, they might get a few assists. And assists make them feel dirty.

The amount of times this has happened to me. Especially landing 3-4man aoe ults. Just....goddammit.

It's even worse when you save a carry's life, surprise the enemy, and your carry doesn't even follow up on your counter engage. Like, bitch they're busy with me, fucking shoot them for this free kill.

But it's fun to team kill! Also when the tank does engage, don't back him up! Scatter and run in every direction. Then blame him for dying 1v3 when it would have been 5v3 if you fucking helped instead of running at full hp.

I just learned to love tanks. It's kinda like how soldiers grow a sick sense of humor to deal with their horrific situation.

I think what they really mean is...I WANT MORE KILLS! Someone, anyone, take something that does as little damage as possible so I have the highest chance of getting the most kills! I need it for my Epeen!

I main a tank and I still hear this too often.

They still ask for it, even if you're laning against a Vayne!

I imagine it's because so many tanks have trust issues. Sion ults in, meanwhile Vayne/Lucian is too busy farming the wave you opened up.. with your engage.

What i hate is when we have 3 people who should tank or is good tanky (warwick, malphite, panth(i understand damage on him)) and they go full damage since they have to carry i was the tank warwick peelling for 5 god damn people the only person engaging since they wanted to live the dream and 1 vs 5 penta malphite didnt even engage he waited till panth died and trist died so he can ult q for a pick then die leaving me to peel 4 people off my last carry

Lol I've been having multiple matches like this and of course we end up losing 99% of the time. Everyone wants to play Teemo, Yasuo, Zed, Zoe, Yi, Kayn, Evelyn, Riven, etc. Meanwhile the enemy team gets Yorrick, Udyr, Sejuani, Blitz, Thresh, Braum, etc. And The team doesn't care. And we end up losing because I'm expected to tank and I simply get cc'd to death or locked down while my team mates die and get picked off. They also never want to group as 5v5 so its always a 2-3v5. Also Every lane is always losing when I play support tank. Nobody wants to play for team synergy or counters, nobody wants to ward, nobody wants to do objectives. It's always about who has the most damage and kills.
