Even though i carried my ADC, kept him with vision and death foddered for him so he could live get kills and farm and didn't KS him and helped secure the game. My reward was being argued with for half the game of why im an idiot, a noob, and why i don't know what im doing--and of course reported even though i supported more or less just as optimally as i would with a popular support. I wasn't trolling, or derping around just because it was in a normal, i was playing a serious support game, just with a different support, but that didn't matter because it was "off meta?"

What is with people that can't see the forest for the trees, and think there's never any wiggle room for the meta if its not already been defined as the meta? Someone had to play Trundle support, and Naut support, and Shen support for the first time. Theres a difference in someone picking something off meta to troll and be a derp fun haver, and someone playing because they're confident they can bring their talents out in a different way than the default. I remember a long while ago around the time i started playing, a diamond support main i befriended told me something: Supporting is a role, not a champion.

To all supports that have to support ungrateful people that don't deserve your thoughtfulness, or work, I thank you for biting the bullet and doing what needs to be done, even if some people make it taste so bitter <3

The problem is people treating 'The Meta' as if it were the Holy Bible of League. Never mind that the meta is by its nature fluid and differs from region to region even on the same patch. What's pick/ban OP here might not be so in Korea or EU or China (and often isn't) because their meta is different. But failure to follow the meta is still punishable by death because people hate having to think.

few years ago (only recently got back into league) I was draven with a galio support, I was skeptical but the glorious bastard netted us a double kill as soon as he got his ultimate (because you don't screw with draven's damage early on) and since then I have never doubted a support pick ever again.

Why do you care? You're doing the right thing.

training people's brains to intellect and elasticity
getting potential flamers to flame and as such be punished
making offmeta picks more known and as a result expanding the depth of this game.

oh you can get reported for anything, whether it counts as a true report is a different matter.

In these circumstances, if you were even a bit negative, their reports against you become valid.

I ran Malzahar support alongside a Miss Fortune ADC (I'm trying to get lvl 5 mastery- I take him literally anywhere at the moment) and that was actually super good once we hit 6. "Alright you have ult?" 'Yeah' "Sweet" Proceed to suppress the enemy and let MF hit them with her entire ult.

You can't be reported for playing an off-meta pick, nor can you be for having a bad game. As long as you were not toxic in anyway if these "reports" your given lead to a punishment you can most likely appeal them to player support.

Also, just mute the pricks next time, helps A LOT.

I have no problem with people playing Amumu support. I just hope you guys who upvoted this don't mind when you lock in Amumu Support, I lock in Nunu ADC.

Same terms, i'll legit try to make something that is proven to be sub optimal work.

You wouldn't be able to argue on terms of being hypocritical and we'll enjoy a solid Nunu Amumu bot lane.

Because if someone is having fun experimenting with Off Meta in ranked, I have no problem experimenting stuff that I want to try too, also I'm not wasting my Vayne KDA or win rate on the off chance someone makes something that's proven to be worse, better.

However of course, 90% of the people who upvoted this, would throw a raging fit if someone picked Nunu ADC. It's the same logic though.

That being said, if it's in Normals then you should be able to play whatever you want. That is the point of normals isn't it.

Basically, if these kids didnt see it in the LCS, or on some stream, it is "trolling". I know, that seems retarded, but this is how it works in the lower ELO's.

Wait reported for playing something weaker in normals? I thought the entire point of normals was to play stuff that wasn't meta bc you don't want to be at a disadvantage in ranked, but want to play something fun that isn't in the strongest spot right now? OMG WHAT ARE NORMALS ACTUALLY FOR?!?!?!?!

Karthus' lay waste cooldown is actually 2 to 2.3 seconds... when it should be 1 second or less [with cdr]

Karthus lay waste AoE range is too large and definitely larger than it was previously

Karthus' lay waste range is not as high as it should be/used to be

Karthus' lay waste activation delay is longer then it used to be.. feels like .7 to .8 seconds instead of .5 or .4 seconds

Wall of pains % reduction is weak as fk until they have an insane amount of magic resistance .. Old Flat amount was way better... they said this was a buff when it was a stealth nerf

Defiles cooldown is way longer then it should be which effects his last hitting power and mana efficiency

Requiems cooldown sucks and it's easy to counter and it's channel time is too f**king long

~Main of Karthus and have been challenger b4 on other accounts

Edit: Defiles AP ratio is garbage.. make it 30% at least ffs

Early on defile consumes a huge chunk of mana which can make getting an early game kill hard sometimes.. It's Range, Damage isn't even that fking powerful for how much mana it chunks early game and late game

Conclusion: fix the bugs, buff karthus

Also STOP Stealth nerfing things.. FFS

If you're referencing your most recent Amumu game i wouldn't say 0/14/16 with a 40% kill participation is exactly a carry...

I would say you were probably reported for dying so much and not for support Amumu.

Well would you report someone for playing Yasuo ADC (if you have an ADC in another lane) ? Probably, and the boards would be on your side

He could say it makes sense because he builds ADC items, can wall the enemy ADC, and has someone to cover him during his weak early game. Does that make you any more willing to put up with such a pick that you have been forced to lane with?

It works both ways.
