So why exactly is Smite a summoner spell unlocked on level 10?

I think that's really ridiculous considering how hard the jungle is now. Not to mention all the items dedicated to smite.

Imagine to have nearly no masteries, no runes and no smite. You get horrible situations like: Players forced to jungle without smite. (you know, the I WANT SOLO TOP-players) Double top and the enemy team does have a jungler, perhaps even with smite if he's level 10+, which does happen with matchmaking.

Number 1 : Because it's kind of outdated. I agree that with the new items, it should be unlocked form the start.

Number 2 : Because jungling is not something they want newcomers to focus too much on. So they make them play a bit before hinting that "hey you can use that dark space out of the lane too btw".

I understand the reason, but it should probably be usuable at level one since it blocks out quite a few items.

True beginners really shouldn't be jungling. However, if we don't allow them to at least try it just means that smurfs dominate low level games even harder. That said, I'm fine with smite staying level 10 but if they are going to do that then there shouldn't be any jungle buffs before 10 in those games.

Because it´s not something meant for begginers... unless you are smurfing. *suspicious eyes

  1. new players probably arent that dumb and wont jungle without smite
  2. no one pre lvl10 or pre lvl20 really gives 2 shits about solo top, hell they probably arent even aware top is a solo lane
  3. having a jungler at such low lvl is not an advantage, the duo top will absolutely destroy the solo top while the jungler is far below adequate, cuz you know.. noobs are idiots

I'd rather have SOME masteries and runes instead of absolutely none and trying to jungle without smite with anyone other than Warwick or Fiddlesticks. I dont think the lvl 1-10 or even thru lvl20 know enough to jungle. Jungling takes so much micromanagement that i feel it would overwhelm a lot of new players. I'm all for teaching them, but you cant jungle with 90% of the champs nowadays and of the 10% left i think only a couple could make it without runes/masteries.

I think it should be available at the same level PVP is available

Simple, you can't jungle without the proper masteries and runes, most of which are gained after level 10.

They don't want you to jungle until level 10 now. It is basically impossible to jungle before getting tier three runes anyway, so it isn't a huge deal.

duo top still gets more exp than current jungler and thats with runes/masteries/smite/jungle item GOD BLESS RITO GAYMES

Usually most people go duo top in the early levels of the game so there's never been an issue with that.

I'm a little sad about Smite being a lv 10 summoner spell now. I started League in August. I'd never played before but had watched friends playing and seen how the game works. At level 3, I bought Master Yi, picked up Smite and Ghost, and proceeded to ROFLstomp my way to level 10. sigh Those were the days...

I can understand why low-level junglers without my serendipitous "experience" with the game would be a bad thing with the new jungle, but I miss the days when you could learn to jungle at level 3 and never look back. Oh well.

They want you to learn the game before going into the jungle... It makes perfect sense. You dont learn the game running around dying in the jungle.

because if you're jungling without runes and masteries you're wasting your time
