Unlock Chroma with Essence

A single Chroma costs 290 RP which is a large chunk towards a skin, and Chroma packs are even less affordable. While skins, ward skins, icons and champs can be obtained from box rewards, you still cant get Chromas from box, and rightfully so since it's so niche it would be extremely unrewarding to get a random Chroma from a box needing the champ first then the skin on top to use it for some.

My account here has 22 champs. The chances of getting a skin I can actually use is very slim since I dont own most of the champs so I scrap most of the skins for essence and if I didnt get the ultimate Sona skin I'd have over 5k essence banked. I dont even play support or Sona, but upgraded the skin to get her ultimate icons having so much essence.

A few champs like Darius and Morgana have chromas on their default skin. To upgrade a 975RP shard to permanent is something like 650 orange essence. I'd even pay that price in orange essence to unlock a Chroma of my choice

For the vets who have all the champs, many have the skins they want already on their mains and may just be burning orange essence on nice skins they'll rarely ever use, so using it on Chromas would also be welcomed.

Let us unlock Chromas with essence!!
