What item should Sion start with?

I normally use corrupting potion, but lately against melee, I've been taking cloth armor and some pots. With the new Doran's Shield, should I just stick with that?

Doran's ring isn't a bad starting option. It's good for those lanes where csing is a hassle, and you need that early E poke.

Always my go to in lanes where trying to trade in melee is an automatic loss for me.

I only got to try the new shield once. I like how it helps with AA csing, but it leaves him very mana hungry when trying to harass people.

Corrupting potion might be the best option. I need to try a few more games with shield though.

item 1036 +summoner 14 + Stormraider's surge.

Hide in the middle bush, wait for them to start csing, charge up the Q and Proc stormraiders. Run them down like the bugs that they are and gain an easy first blood. Proceed to build lethality, feast apon them and the rest of their team.
