Is it me or are dravens axes a little too hard to catch?

I mean this isn't me just being bronze, I'm actually gold V. Even by now, I completely struggle with playing Draven to even close to his full potential because of 2 reasons.

  1. I find it impossible to catch a fleeing enemy while catching axes. they don't go far enough most of the time with blood rush active so I just end up abandoning them if I catching up is crucial.
  2. Since Draven's axes decide where they are landing at the moment of impact on the enemy target, getting the axe to go in the correct direction is almost impossible at point blank range. You also have to get the timing perfectly because if you do it too fast, you can cancel his auto attack. Do it too slowly, and the axe will land in a random place somewhere close to you, which is sometimes in the opposite direction you'd like to be running. I'm not thinking of making it significantly easier to play Draven, but just make it easier to catch axes point blank range. Maybe delay how long it takes for the axes to decide directions by a fraction of a second if Draven is really close to his target. Just this small change, nothing else. In my opinion, this is reasonable.

*Disclaimer. I'm not that high on the ladder, have not played hours upon hours of Draven, and I definitely do not code or balance the game, so take the opinion with a grain of salt.

Part of learning draven is knowing how his axe's work and how to catch them.

" getting the axe to go in the correct direction is almost impossible at point blank range " - its actually not, just takes some pratice.

Draven axes have a really big range for you to catch em from, like if you're halfway in the circle you catch em. as far as chasing enemies while catching axes, that's called making a decision: close the gap or another free axe?
