Why is it that if I do a ward hop too fast, it doesn't ward hop?

I've probably spent hours in practice tool, and I still can't consistently ward hop smoothly with lee sin because if I press ward-w too fast, it doesn't do anything but ward. It also happens with caitlyns e w combo, sometimes I'll do it and it just won't trap and only use the first thing I pressed similar to ward hopping.

It's pretty frustrating, and I'm wondering if there's a setting to get around this or why this happens.

I always have 100-110 ping and 60fps if that has something to do with it.

They recently did give a small QoL buff to Lee Sin where you could buffer his E for things like ward hopping in higher latency situations. It should help out a bit but I'd still expect you to run into some difficulties if you're playing at an average of 105 ping all the time.

But if you didn't ward hop then is it a ward hop if you didn't hop to the ward you were ward hopping to when you tried to ward hop?
