Can Karma get a band-aid buff like Diana got until her eventual rework?

Lowest performing mid laner : approx (+-1%) 42.05% WR --- 1.00% PR Lowest performing support : approx (+-1%) 44.44% WR --- 3.72% PR

Keep in mind, these stats are that low even though she's not mechanically intensive.

I would like to be able to play her in ranked. It's been enough patches where she's in a terrible state : she should be performing well if she's the best ardent censor user, so that's saying a lot on how weak she is.

Until her eventual rework (or small rework), could you please help Karma out? Similarly to the changes to Diana, just so that she's a viable pick.

I'm noticing that she's not strong enough in lane anymore to bully the opponents out when played well, since she runs oom before putting enough damage through the sustain.

  • Maybe up her Q mana cost by a bit and give a partial mana refund on champion hit? Ex: 10 mana more on base and 20 (or 15) mana refund per champion hit? This could hurt mid lane Karma even more though, so maybe 10 mana more on base and a single 25 mana refund if it hits at least one champion?
  • Maybe change her root duration (base duration) to 1.25 at all ranks? Or 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8/2?

These are just suggestions, we can probably find something better. It would be very appreciated.

Not to be skeptical, but I feel like a Bandaid would just delay that said rework.

I just seem to remember a lot of Karma main, complaining about how Generalist she had became, or this or that. Yet Riot put her on the back burner because she was still competitive, and thus, not a priority.

I agree, Karma definitely needs band-aid buffs. Especially if they're going to nerf enchanter itemization harder in the coming patches.

If they don't want her shields to be so oppressive, buff her poke at least. Maybe high ELO mid Karma's would stop building her support even there...

I wouldn't count on it. She isn't going to produce the same level of poke as other mages. So focusing poke on Karma would be foolish. And if you buff her poke, that might actually encourage a more supportive build, because it now takes less stats to get the same result. (Especially if you consider an Athene's build. More damage = more heal)

I can see your point of a band-aid maybe putting off her rework but at this point she's basically unplayable. Her rework isn't going to come out anytime soon anyway.

Why can't Karma produce the same level of poke as other mages? She might only have 2 damaging skills (compared to the usual 3 or 4 of mages), but that doesn't mean her Q or W can't have base or ap ratios to compete.

Anyway Riot is scared of Karma's RE being too powerful. Fine then don't buff her RE, buff her ability to do damage and be able to semi-compete with other mages.

More damage = more supportive? Maybe if it was just her base damage, but they could also just buff her ap ratios, which would encourage her building AP. As for Athene's, athene's heal has a cap per level (LV12 = 190, LV18 = 250) and it's relatively easy to get blood charges to heal anyway, so it's a non-issue.

I'd like the W buff if W didn't feel like everyone and their mother was able to break tether 70% of the time.
