A new idea on how to balance Garen. @Meddler @RiotRepertoir @Statikk @RiotScruffy

Let's face it. If you're playing against Garen toplane, you're probably being dominated in lane, or at the very least you're not pushing him out unless you're a ranged lane bully. And if you are melee, or even (god forbid) a tank, and you happen to get a kill on Garen? Why, you've just lost the lane so long as you're both alive and nobody else on your team scores a kill. Might as well feed it right back to him, he's going to make your lane a living hell until he gets it anyways.

And there's no other champion who gets this much of a comeback factor in lane, or really anywhere. Not even Karthus is as empowered by his deaths in lane as Garen is.

So here's my idea. Garen's deaths do not count towards activating Villainy.

Quick, simple, clean, and actually opens up the ability for melee champions to play against Garen in lane.

Bruh +1, also his ult is SO SO SOOOO strong against tanks when there villain. I was playing tank ekko and was the villain, I still had ult up and I was diving there carries, OUT'A NO WHERE 1,497 true dmg ult by Garen that I had no chance against, his is effectively a anti-tank/tank/assassin/dps

@Nunus Adventure

And Riot admitted he's strong, he's getting nerfed next patch but eh.

yeah, drop the villain mechanic and spread the power around the rest of his kit

That actually makes sense. The whole Villain mechanic is about protecting the weak. GAREN'S NOT WEAK!

only if theyre not going ahead with the ms nerf.

i dont see a reason for both.

If that's happening, then they better not nerf his mobility.

There's no need for both.
