I wish support can get a mana item without cdr

Most of support items offer CDR and mana regeneration. But I feel like enchanters are the ones who always run out of mana first. They got their own line of items which are ''mana regeneration'' items but what they really need is mana items without cooldown reduction because now every support items gives CDR. You're going way up above 40% cdr which is a waste (well, unless if you go transcendance, but you're getting a free 10%cdr yet AGAIN)

Abyssal Mask Archangel staff Catalyst of Aeons Frozen Heart Glacial Shroud Hextech GLP-800 Iceborn Gauntlet Infernal Mask
Lich Bane Lost Chapter Luden's Echo Manamune Mejai's Soulstealer Muramana Righteous Glory Rod of Ages Sapphire Crystal Seraph's Embrace Sheen Tear of the Goddess The Dark Seal Trinity Force Trinity Fusion Zeke's Convergence

The only okay mana item I see that gives no CDR and is for enchanters is Rod of age, which basically no support champions get.

I love to play Karma, Nami, Sona, Morgana and Janna... I feel like manaflow band is a must on them or they'll run out of mana too easily.

And guess what, Shurelia is comming back (which is an item I can see enchanters rush) with CDR again and no mana regeneration OR mana.

I mean, how are enchanters supposed to manage their mana when all they can get is mediocre mana regeneration items and manaflow band (and maybe biscuits) ?

If you want mana, then buy a mana item. I don't see why one should not do that. But why would you not take the CDR?If you see a problem of having too much CDR then just opt into transcendence and make a formerly weakness a strength.

That's not the point. As a support, you buy items that your team needs and not what you need. And as it turns out, support items all give cooldown reductions and no mana. I don't want CDR, I want MANA.

Hell I would have rushed Luden's echo on Karma or Lich bane on Sona if that wasn't the case of being a supporter.

Sounds like you feel too restricted from other players? I never had a problem with mana unless playing tank supports like Braum or Tahm Kench where I suddenly couldn't spam my Q anymore.

When you play ranked in my elo, you ARE restricted. a simple item out of the meta gets you harrassed for days IF your adc dies.

don't even think going mana items with lost chapter when you're a supporter. Anyway, it would be foolish to not go Athene, ardent censer as a mage-supporter like Karma.

All I can think is you listed a ton of items that aren't anything most enchanters would buy. Maybe build more AP and be more selective about when you use spells? Quality can beat quantity. You could always study pro supports builds and how they use their champ?

Well uh, that's the point. If you noticed, I've listed all the mana items you can buy from shop and like you said, none of them really applies to enchanters.

Unless I missed them removing it, you left out Crucible. Also, I don't see why you need items to increase an enchanters mana pool when they have a lot of mana Regen items.

Crucible doesn't provide mana. Only mana regeneration. The reason why you only want mana is because you're overdoing your cooldown reduction which basically all mana and mana regeneration item give.

OK, I stand corrected and that wiki I checked against needs edited.

Anyway, I STILL don't see an explanation of why you NEED more mana when mana Regen is very readily available.

There are a lot of item options for supports that give small amounts of CDR and as others have pointed out you can talent to gain from surplus CDR.

Or you could plan builds that don't over stack CDR.

I think you'll be fine if you change your itemization order up a little bit for every character. I mean, I can just go for the standard items on Raka in the order that they'd be most useful for the situation. But on Nami and Sona, I found out that I can't do that and have to buy item 3310 first, and upgrade it when I can get the free wards (not before), and rushitem 3003 as soon as possible, or else I just run out of mana all the time.

Although, I'm a relatively new player, and I think some more practice on those characters would help, I don't think practice alone would completely solve that problem. Plus item 3070, is a relatively cheap early game item that builds into stuff later, and is easy to build on people who need a little more mana at the start; even if you don't upgrade straight to other things right away.
