Who will Ekko counter and who will counter him?

I was thinking Ekko get's counter by ( combo's faster than his ) ( Too much harass and his knockback can screw up his combo ) For top lane / E'ing into these guys would not be smart even if you do manage to land your stun. ( A typical assassin counter, and that silence and knockback can ruin his combo. Ekko will counter (More harass, I don't think Fizz E last long enough to dodge the entirety of his Q.) ( Dude get's destroyed by all assassins, and Ekko can outplay the ult in some cases). ( Should be able to easily outplay his ult ) ( Somewhat similar play-styles but I think Ekko's might be more potent at level 6, and his harass is superior. )

I think zed karthus maybe fzz and syndra just because he can negate there ult damanges but lets be honest lb just 1 shots everyone xD

Actually he can his ult makes him invornable so he can ult to dodge death mark karthus ult fizz and even syndra if perfectly timed its not like zeds ult where zed goes untargetable but any DMG that already hit like ignite or things like syndras ult that are targeted ability's still do DMG if activated before or as he death marks ekkos ult makes him invornable as he blinks meaning he takes no DMG from anything for that time if timed right u can ult just as death mark pops and avoid its DMG same goes for karthus and fizz

I guess that - given you have good reactions - you can easily outplay Zed as Ekko. The ult makes him invulnerable and untargetable. So used at the right time he can either completely negate his ult or negate the proc of his ult.

Ekko counters people like who can't deal with his damage and can't avoid his delays.

Leblanc should be an overall even match. Fizz is going to be a boring match. Fizz avoids most of Ekko's stuff, Ekko ultimates to negate Fizz's burst. Karthus will probably get killed and countered. Zed is countered. Why? "What, you used your ultimate? Well guess what, that damage you used to increase your ultimate doesn't matter. I ult, you ult, nothing much happens." Diana ... I don't know. Pretty even. She is more durable overall.

I'm kind of surprised that rito didn't give a list of 3 champs he's good against, bad against, and good with like they've done for the last couple of champions. I kind of want to see how malz does against him but i think ekko might have a range advantage thanks to his q

i haven't got the chance to play a game yet this patch so im probably off. but im pretty sure about the vs ekko matchup as a main malzahar

Well I just destroyed a Malzahar bot as Ekko XD. In all seriousness though now that I think about it you're probably right about that one. has a silence and his tons of damage ult can't really be avoided.

i dont think ekko will be able to ult out of a malzahar ult. if he can then maybe its more of a skill matchup but ya

Heimerdinger might do something. Ekko wouldn't want to E or W into Heimer turrets.

Maybe late game, but if you space them out right, he can only take 1 out at a time. And you can always replace them.

Been able to beat him fairly easily on Ahri but i think anything that countered assassins before should be able to beat him, annie and possibly veigar.

I don't see Diana being countered by him. Her burst is outrageous, she has a nice shield, a double ult, and is an off tank, so not as squishy as most mages/assassins. Plus once he is nerfed, I think Diana can be a great one to go against him. Personally, I think he has way too many things in his kit, and needs to be nerfed drastically. Also, its not fair for one champ to have every possible ability (blink, stun, heal, dash, etc) in one kit.

Also, I wrecked Ekko with Morgana and Annie mid lane. Also, why is he even mid lane when I heard he's not supposed to be mid at all?

Mid and Top can be interchangeable for some champions. Zed, Yasuo, Nidalee, etc.

I've seen him in every role except ADC so far. Still, pick a certain lane for once, it helps the team out.

I've played Team Builder all night, and every game just about I had an Ekko in my team and against in the enemy, and most were just outrageous. I'm switching to draft so he can be banned.

???? Where did you hear that? Most of the guides and PBE video's I've seen have been in the mid lane with an occasional top lane.

I've seen Ekko can be pretty useful at the jungle, but mid lane assasin Ekko its a good choice if not the best Ekko

Ekko's stun is no where near reliable because it is so hard to hit and i use it mostly for shield and zoning. Also keep in mind u r playing the 2 easiest mid champs to play one with a 3 sec snare and passive spell vamp as well as a spell shield. Ur second has a point and click stun or a aoe ult stun that spawns a minion to help u. Also i played mid against an annie once and she got completely reckt and i wus Ekko

Morgana has a skill shot snare that has a wide range hitbox and can easily get blocked by minions. That Annie must have sucked because I have played against Ekko many times with her and absolutely shut him down.

On my initial impressions, only hard CC will counter Ekko. He's extremely mobile, only champions who can lock him down or restrict movement will counter him.

Ahri counters him with her charm and moblity. If she gets all of her dmg out ekko dead Ahri also she a bursty mage assassin. the sustain dash charm. counters him

he probably could counter zed because he can become untargetable himself. Zed doesn't have crowd control other than the sheer fear of his damage and a slow? fizz, however, probably could outduel echo if he ever got close, so ti would depend upon how viable echo's range is, so it's about an even match maybe, but I don't like playing as fizz so idk how to play as him

ranged champs have the best setup against him in most cases, so somebody like Xerath probably could outdo him and has a more accurate stun.

so idk. I think a lot of these new champs riot brings out just so old champs can duel them and win while still having the sheer power needed to do something in the match

TALON counters ekko just played a game and i 1v1 him with ease , follow the build: maw of malmortious then mercury treads ( at that point ekko cant do anything to you then hydra, black clever (now their whole team cant kill u and the shred is really strong and u help ur team) then ghostblade/last whisper and u are done u do a lot of dmg u are really tanky and u help ur team .

small tip : u mr when u finish ur first 2 items is ~135 tell ur team to get a locket of the iron solari and ur mr jumps to ~165

I played shen against Ekko and did well, i wouldn't call Shen a counter, but when i rushed the Zzrot portal as first item, then got Spirit visage, he couldn't do a damn thing to me. it was the first time i played against Ekko too... hes fuckin jukey.

I just played a game as Karma and had no issues in lane against him at all, every time Ekko tried to jump in an burst me down, i would just pop my e and the shield would tank all the damage and than cast my w on him to root him, than ult q him. By the time that was done he had pretty much no health left and was an easy kill. Karma just has to much burst and sustain for him to fight her

I've played against Ekko as Riven it's extremely easy to kill him early game, late game harder to catch him with the ulti, but still great damage can be done for a quick shut down.

Possible one, but that's from very lack of exp vs a nub freelo Ekko.

You can keep your distance far enough to walk away every time he tries to pull a stun when he's charging at you.

You can W right on top of him every time he tries to last hit.

But tbh, against decent Ekko, it will be worse than playing against lb.

Riven hard counters Ekko. I outplayed this Riven but he was on par with me entire game, I would juke his knock up and stun and he still almost killed me every time, than late game even being snowballed he would melt me. I've played and seen other games with him, Riven hard counters and owns Ekko.
