Drakthur has a hidden passive

in that it retains Dirk's (+15 damage on next autos or single target spell after killing a unit).

Intentional or not?

Yeah I've been wondering why it doesn't stick around on all the items it builds into. Maybe not as much in the case of item 3156 since that item already has a lot going on, but I could see it being nice on item 3142 .

That's because the amount of AD acquired through upgrade outweighs the Dirk's passive.

Ghostblade does need something to distinguish it from Duskblade, though. Right now, they both accomplish the same task of AD damage amplifaction, except Duskblade works better even on the champions that should be buying Ghostblade.

Yeah I saw someone run it on Pantheon. The enemy knew war that day let me tell you.

I really want to try that now... and it makes me wonder. I did not care about the item at all when it was announced because it was advertised as the Assassin item, but I can see it working on almost any AD champ.

But then there's this bit from the wiki:

Duskblade of Draktharr is 99.15% gold efficient without its passive. For Duskblade of Draktharr to be considered gold efficient, its passive must have a value of at least 27.5 Gold.

It's not quite as loaded as one of the other armor pen items unless you can put of a crap ton of damage in a short time(which is why it works on pantheon). It seems like it could work for Darius and most the other juggernauts as well. CritGangplank can probably use it since his Q would proc it.

And that's sort of the problem. Plenty of champions aren't necessarily assassins, but have a ton of up-front burst anyways with the follow-up to kill people after the proc - because they weren't designed as assassins.

Wait, it does???

Well that is rather interesting. Guessing it is unintentional but idk?

same with item 1083

I'd say unintentional mainly because the dirk passive doesn't stick around with any of the other items (Also not marked in tooltip to stay). For example: item 3142, this item pretty much doesn't really need the dirk passive at all. ( item 3133 + item 3134 ) = 45 AD + 10 armor pen + 10% CDR. Add 1,000 gold and you'll getitem 3142, which is equal to 65 AD + 20 armor pen + 10% CDR + an active that grants 40% AS and 20% MS for 6 seconds on a 45 second cooldown. 1,000 gold for 20 AD, 10 armor pen and a strong active means that it could trade off the extra passive simply due to changing the +15 temp AD for one hit onto +20 permanent AD.

What about the case for item 3156, you ask? ( item 3155 + item 3134 ) = 45 AD +10 Armor pen + 35 MR + A magic shield passive. Add 850 gold for item 3156 is 55 AD + 50 MR + 10 Armor pen + A passive that increases your attack speed by 25%, lifesteal and spellvamp by 10%, and a magic shield upon reaching below 30% health by a magic attack. This item makes up for the loss of the dirk's passive with a powerful passive, not so much a large amount of AD.

item 3147 is 75 AD + 10 Armor pen + A strong execution passive. I'd say that the dirk passive shouldn't be here simply because it isn't listed in the tooltip, which means it likely wasn't an intended thing to stay upon the item's completion. ( item 3134 + item 1038 ) = 60 AD + 10 Armor pen. Add 850 gold for item 3147 = 75 AD + 10 Armor pen + A strong execution passive. If you look at the AD alone and how it gains 15 permanent AD over its components, it seems to be following the same example as the youmuu's, which shows that it is even more probable to be a bug rather than an intentional feature.
