I really like the direction Riot is taking marksmen with Kai Sa

What i mean by this is they feel more like AD Casters than regular old right-clickers like Vayne,Twitch,Jinx etc.

Last 3 ADCs,even though they come out pretty rarely, were Kai Sa,Xayah and i believe Jhin, sure they can right click you to death, and thats what they mostly do in late game, but it looks as if Riot is moving from that style of gameplay they've given to most of their ADCs, who's abilities really feel like a filler.

I mean look at Jinx, her Q switches between basic modes of AAing, her W is basically there to be sometimes useful to poke or slow an enemy down, rarely to finish him off,her E is there so she can trap someone and continue to right click him,and her ult is the only Ability that contributes to her overall damage. Its similar with Cait,Q and R aren't the most useful spells especially in late game, and i wouldn't say her kit revolves around them,it revolves around her traps and headshots, this goes for a lot of other ADCs,some like Sivir literally have only one damaging ability (if you don't count W bouncing to other enemies)

And it isn't surprising that even though i mained ADCs since S1 i never particularly liked those that didn't have some built in damage or burst, the exception could be Vayne, but i still find it very frustrating to play her since her early game is pretty weak and pretty boring.

That being said i think Riot is moving in the right direction with new Marksmen, even Varus recently got his W changed so it gives his next Q more damage.

Not only do these changes make them feel better to play early game since you don't rely solely on your AAs,hence you can have fun before you get your 2 zeals and an Infinity Edge, but it makes their kits more diverse, more challenging and more fun.

I mentioned this in another post, but i'd really like to see some more Ezreal type ADCs with a low cooldown dps skillshot and more focus on ability damage then straight up right clicking.

Thoughts?

i prefer when adc got to dps to do damage and skills are mostly buffs or movement skills.

NO , i hate tristana.

vayne and lucian are maybe the ones i like mostly to my preferences

EDIT: actually apparently i didn't get what you were saying.

Yea I think riot is starting to branch out with identity in ADCs, but tbh i'm not a huge fan of how either. Xayah, Kai'sa, cait, are all unique but hated for a reason. They could've been done differently, how so I wouldn't know.

For the most part I agree, but I actually think Jinx has one of the best ADC kits in the entire game. Abilities don't have to be crazy new and have tons of mechanics and what not - her kit is fluid as HELL and each ability contributes heavily to her pattern in different ways.

Kai'Sa isn't an ADC caster though. She's an auto-attack ADC. Her passive - stacks on autos. Her W? Stacks passives so she can kill you faster with her autos and passive. Her E? Makes her move and then auto faster. Her R? Fires her into a target with passive stacks so she can stack more stacks and kill them. Her Q is the only ability in her kit that doesn't directly contribute to her needing to auto-attack, so this means she is NOT a caster ADC.

Ezreal, Miss Fortune, Corki, and Varus are caster ADCs because they rely mostly on their abilities to deal the bulk of their damage. Kai'Sa does not. She relies mostly on auto-attacking enemies and triggering her passive to deal the bulk of her damage.
