Grass is always greener on the other side

Scroll the boards for 15 minutes and you'll see the following posts:

ADCS are OP -gets upvotes Assassins are OP-gets upvotes Tanks are broken-gets upvotes

XX champ and XX item is so op etc etc. Some champs and classes as the game changes get stronger and weaker, but i dont understand how most of the board members dont realize they've been taken by the classic "Grass is always greener on the other side effect" What i did recently is i played 5-10 games of every class, just to see whos right and whos wrong, and i gotta say most of the time no matter what class you play as long as your champ is meta and you get snowballing you're going to stomp people. Try playing different classes, you'll be surprised to learn every class you think is op has its own problems and most people cant see pass them and are stuck in "that guy has it better" mode of thinking

What if all three of those are correct because damage creep is itself the problem?

Came to this thread just to make this comment.

Are we looking at the same boards? Because if we were, the threads calling ADCs op would have upvotes for roughly 5 minutes before every adc main on the site comes to downvote it and reply about why ADCs aren't unhealthy in the slightest, but also why tanks need to do next to no damage so they are balanced.

Not really, you could farm upvotes for the last 5 months by saying something clever sounding about adcs and "bps"

and i stopped complaining about tanks a long time ago because i realized that i sounded like the people QQing about adcs, nor assassins though i find it enjoyable destroying adcs on them

At least we can all agree that mages need a pretty good buff across the board.

At least we can all agree that mages need a pretty good buff across the board.

I don't know if Mages need a buff as much as their itemization needs some work. AD champs have Ghostblade, Edge of Night, Black Cleaver, Duskblade and Last Whisper as armor pen items while mages have Liandry's, Sorc shoes and Void Staff as magic pen items.

Also keep in mind that AD is generally more reliable damage than AP as most mages have skill shots and cooldowns to manage while AD champs merely have attack speed as a limiter.

I don't think ALL mages are weak, but there are some that absolutely need to be reworked or straight buffed as they are just not viable options in most cases... looking at you Ryze, Cassi, Viktor and Syndra. I don't consider LeBlanc a "mage" but she falls into that category as well given that she has the second lowest win rate in the game.

I think Ryze is ok, as mains can have like 70% winrate on him

This thread relies on a whole lot of sweeping generalizations, and in the end is just a complaint about the complainers. For one, this ignores the classes that are seen as struggling, namely fighters and, from what I've read, mages. Moreover, complaining about a specific champion being too strong has nothing to do with "grass being greener on the other side", or whichever other truism, because it is not only possible, but likely that some champions are stronger than others at any given time. While every class has its exceptions, when one class has at least one member present in every game on both teams, and another has comparatively far less presence, that does highlight an imbalance across the roster.

I don't know fam, my only weakness when I play adc as a top main is I'm not used to range. I usually do melee champs and I don't know matchups and power spikes.

Lauchmelder1 votes

It's the other way around for me. I'm so used to playing like a little bitch due to playing Ziggs and GP that I'm scared to go into melee range on top.

Funnily enough that doesn't apply when I'm playing Sion top. I got the "win lane, lose game" problem on him though.

Need more teamfights then. If your team is too behind, split ONLY when your team can take something like dragon or tower and are grouped as 4.

Finally got it yesterday. Went 4/1 against a Diamond Riven in lane. Made me proud, even though you could see that the guy was trying to get better on her.

I read that as "Gragas is always greener"

Better bring a bucket.

Fair enough I play mostly ADC and even though I agree there are issues with the lane, many people who don't play the position clearly don't understand the struggles you go through in the position... It's the same with any role
