Can someone from Riot please explain the genius of Lucian Q?

He has a point and click skill that can be dodged by the most random movements, why is he the only champ with that kind of skill,i cant count the number of times someone randomly sidesteped my Q even though its point and click and i have no means to predict his movement,if its point and click then make it point and click like all the other spells,if its a skill shot then make it a normal skill shot, not something in between but worse than both

Simple. It's an aoe that does full damage to all targets hit and you can poke outside of your range when we'll aimed. Rather I feel sorry for reksai whose ult can miss if they are fast enough or flash shortly after the scream

It's not a skillshot, it's a time delayed AoE. Like Xerath Q or Lux Ult. The line of it just happens to orient in the direction of the target when Lucian cast the ability.

It's actually not the only skill with that behaviour. RekSai R is point and click, still avoidable by movement.

I think it is ok that it works like this. Doesn't the skill scale with attackspeed as well, making it less likely to get dodged later in the game?

I don't think you realize this, but most champions have this kind of stuff. It's called a skill shot. emphasis on "skill".

Just git gud.

I think it's because it's an AoE targeted ability that can be kind of aimed at other people through the thing you target, and, as far as I can recall, no other targeted ability is like that.

But I can still imagine the frustration had when "aiming" for the target you're clicking.
