Horror/Sci-Fi movie characters are bound by law to act as horribly, cringe worthy stupid as possible in desperate situations.

"There might be a murderer/weird alien killer thing in the house/on board, I'll go investigate without any way to defend myself!!"

I want them to put in an actual situation where you would just run away rather than sidestep it. Like being in a tight hallway, or something being so fast that if you even try to move away it catches and/or kills you.

I connect with this on a spiritual level. My friends keep suggesting various TV shows for me to watch, while I haven't even finished the anime I've kept saying I'll watch since 2014.

Like to give you tips about the following series? Let's see.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica Have it on my backlog; added quite some time ago, so I have next to nothing to say about it.
Fate Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya Same as above, sadly.
Re Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Haven't watched it yet, but a friend of mine said it was good.
Rurouni Kenshin Haven't heard about this one.
Konosuba It's... Hm... Well, it's a comedy. A decent one, though I'm lately bored about a lot of things so it may be better. :P Also I seem to have a weird taste as I completely disliked Nichijou which took me nearly a year to watch (340 days to be exact).
Akame ga Kill I'll say it like this: The anime ended before the manga reached a conclusion. It's very good up until the point it diverges (a few chapters are skipped before that however), though in this case it seems author had a say because the story does look like an early draft of what appeared in the manga. The ending, however made read the manga, because it just felt off. Basically the same feeling I had when watching Claymore.

Can give you my MAL profile to see if you plan to watch something I already did, should you want of course.

PS. I'm watching the second season of Aldnoah.Zero and holy fuck it is going on top of my list of the biggest ass-pulls in the history of fiction.

Well, Raki is the reason I had to read the manga. I couldn't believe anybody would create a character like him and... I was right doubting. The anime diverges before Raki gets to do anything. His role later is pretty substantial and he does some cool stuff too.

In his defense Ramsay missed all of them before that so sidestepping from one that would miss might've killed him. Obviously Ramsay was missing on purpose but they all sorta underestimated him

Brings back memories of the original Far Cry - that game came with a serial, but you didn't have to use it. Insert the CD, press "Install", and play. No fuss, no problems - just play.

Years later I bought Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. The pirated version worked just fine, so I went ahead and bought the game because I enjoyed it so much, and figured I'd be a good boy (for once) and install the legal version.

After registering the game on Steam, made a UPlay account, registering the game there, online-verifying the serial both places, and started the game download (only part of the game came with the DVD, mind you), it kept giving me an error. Did a ~3 GB download before giving me the error. Then went on with downloading the 3 GB again before giving the same error. And looped there.

After 3 hours (my connection speed sucks) and 3 retries, I had had enough. Removed all traces of it, USuck along with it (my first and last experience with it), mounted the ISO, reinstalled the pirated version, and was in game again in 30 minutes.
