Get rid of autofill

I hate playing support. It's boring. I don't care if it "makes me a better player" or any of that, I genuinely DON'T HAVE FUN for the 35 minutes I'm stuck playing as a support. I want to farm, kill opponents, actually do damage, etc. I would rather wait 15 minutes for a game where I'm guaranteed not to be stuck to the support role.

Also, sorry to say but when I do get autofilled to support I play MY WAY. That means Shaco, Nidalee, full AD Alistar, and no sightstone. Why? Because I want to have fun and Riot takes that away from me. And my personal enjoyment is more important that me winning the game.

So blame Riot. Not me.

It isn't just about a slightly increased wait time; for all we know, it could increase by upwards of half an hour or even more.

There was a post a while back explaining this kind of thing; if you remove autofill, queue times will be determined exclusively by people who play support. There clearly aren't enough of those people (why else would they introduce autofill?). So if there are five thousand people who enter queue every hour, and only three hundred of them want to play support, you're stuck at a rate of 150 matchmade games per hour as opposed to the potential 500 we could get with autofill.

Can't help but agree. You don't have to get rid of it though, just make it a toggle so that those of us willing to wait for queues can without getting stuck in roles we don't want. The players that are concerned with queue times can check the autofill on box. Simple.

My suggestion is to make the only autofill role support, and every other role impossible to get filled as, that way you only need to be prepared for 3 roles, instead of potentially 5 roles.

The purpose of the ranked ladder is to say how good of a player you are, and good players should be able to play any role when it comes down to it. Ranked isn't about how well you can play a mid laner or any role it's about how well you can play the game overall so by going "your way" so you can have fun you may be ruining the game for four other people because you won't tolerate to learn support. We all have to be auto filled sometimes and from my experience so far most people just suck it up and look forward to the auto fill protection next game. I'm just saying if you hate auto fill to the point where you're willing to ruin 4 other people's game don't play ranked, it'll make sure you don't face the dreaded auto full and it'll make sure people don't have to play with a vigilante support.

(Also if your intent is fun normals is the way to go)
